Do you belive in the Matrix theory model for RV
or do you have a own ideas about where and how
we access our Rving data.

If yes, How big is this matrix or do you think it has
its own limits ? is there anything beyond the matrix
or are we simply deluding ourselves into thinking
there is a limit to its size or even its existence.

I started thinking about these theories and got lost
somewhere in between adapting  parallel universies
and multiple Dimensions to this "field" It was totally
mindboggling just how much variables one has to
factor in trying to determine the reality of this
matrix or how it works let alone how it even came about in the first place.

what do you think ?

Peace,
Tunde

I don't believe there is a "Matrix".  I don't believe there are "alternate universes".  I don't believe in the "big bang theory" either.

I also cringe when I see the mind or consciousness referred to as popular movie or science terms, like "Matrix", "virtual reality", "quantum this or that", etc.

yea!!  Back to the matrix questions.  I asked about the matrix a few weeks ago and not much was said about the topic....which surprised me.  I was under the impression that 'matrix' was an important factor in RVing, yet no one seemed to know much about it.

Hope your question sheds some light on it.  Cool

... I just cringe a lot... I think its the coffee.... :-/

....but seriously folks, I understand that comparing consciousness, the mind, or the dynamics of RV to some popular concept like the internet, or a computer, or the plot of some popular movie, makes it accessible to readers, and may even provide some structure to make a new concept more understandable, but I think those terms have a lot of baggage that muddies the water more than it helps.  For one thing, concepts such as "quantum physics" and "virtual" anything are full of more questions than answers for the experts in the field they were devised to explain, and pulling them into RV just compounds the misunderstandings they contain.  Journals and textbooks are full of attempts to understand what they mean in their original field, and bringing in all those questions and unknown variables into a field already full of unknowns doesn't help, in my opinion.

I think we need to be using language that points to more traditional, simpler and better understood variables.  Yes, yes, RV is the cutting edge, the new frontier and all that.... but new structures for understanding nature DOESN'T necessarily mean we have to re-invent all the laws of nature, or the building blocks of our understanding.  We may have to change our understanding of reality, we may have to change how we think of reality, and we may find some new features of that reality, but we would be well served to break the complex problem of RV down into aspects we currently DO understand.

But that's just me.  I may feel differently next week.

What do you think?

Thats ok i actually agree with you but really
what would you describe the area/space/where
all this data is being stored?
Do you feel its actually being stored anyway or
do you feel we are nowhere near identifying
whats really happening.
what do you think is really happening when we RV?

Russel Targ says we are all like work stations on a ''cosmic internet''.Ingo Swann call the ''collective unconcious'' the ''matrix'', which basically means the great unknown. My comment about the human race going around with dark shades on, feeling our way around in the dark of the ''great unknwon'' just refers to our ignorance.

I think the computer model is analogous to a degree on several levels. In the movie the movie ''the matrix'' Morpheus describes the matrix as''The world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth'' This is just a reference to manifested reality itself.Whether we are all in some kind of ''self'' created'' prison or School, or both, i dont know.Look at some of the eastern ideas on ''Samsara'' and ''maya'' and it really makes you wonder. Some say we come here out of habit, and breaking free of this habitual illusion we have created is a(the) goal.

I buy into this to a degree but I also look at this reality as one that ''tempers'' our soul to grow and to gather experience and also to learn the laws of creation and how to handle energies of thought and emotion.

The movie is metaphorical on many levels. It points to ones awakening from the illusion of ''samsara'' and it points to our connectedness within the matrix.

This connectedness points to heart of how RV works in my opinion. Some of the new theories in physics on non-locality and superluminal connections;bells theorem etc etc. Bohms ideas on the implicate and explicate order also point to a holographic nature to reality.I think everything , in some sense is concious and conciousness itself has a holographic nature;each part contains the whole.

Life, to me, can be defined as ''intentionality'' and we are beings who can handle ''intent'' in many ways.RV is a skill that teaches one to awaken to our powers of intent. Its a perceptual tool that allows one to awaken to and focus on anything, anywhere, anytime, within our greater connectedness....ok i'll shut up Kiss

You know, I am glad you asked that question.... Grin

I don't have a clear picture of the dynamics, but I think the mind has access to all information  as it exists as a mind.  Its just there.... you don't need to go get it or connect or transfer data.  The data is there.  But the animal, evolved, material, ego driven conscious mind obscures the info with its conception of reality, and we miss the info.  Hmmm... reading that over, I see my explaination is so vague as to be useless.  Honestly, I guess I don't have a very clear idea of what is going on, except that I DO KNOW what concepts don't add to our understanding.

.....and of course, I could be completely wrong.  I will write more when I have it all figured out.

* TEN THOUSAND ROADS REMOTE VIEWING AND DOWSING PROJECT

Since its opening in 2003, the TKR Project has created and sponsored online opportunities for Remote Viewers and Dowsers. We provide free information, and community for all viewers (of all psychic methods, backgrounds, experience, and perspectives on psi), and an array of software utilities and projects offering real-time viewing within an appropriate RV protocol.

The Ten Thousand Roads (aka TKR) project is independently managed and webmastered by a diverse collection of viewers from around the "online RV field". This project owes thanks to the archives of the Firedocs Remote Viewing Collection for its primary visitor source and to the project Dojo Psi for building out its first RV software custom for TKR.

This project is founded, programmed, designed and $-sponsored by Palyne as a community service. All website names, content, graphics, and slogans are Copyright © (various dates until present) to P.J. Gaenir. Viewers and taskers always own their own content of course. Registered members are welcome to excerpt text or screenshots to communicate about the project, and we always appreciate links back to us! Try this link: http://www.dojopsi.info/forum/ for the forum, or http://www.dojopsi.com/tkr/ for the hands-on viewing area.
