Hey folks, is there anyone in here besides me who does most of their RVing in some other language than English? How do you cope? Smiley I know I'm odd, but I've been using some of the worst CRV terminology - in English - in my otherwise Hungarian sessions. And all this in TDS system, Pru'd probably kill me for "target", her intentions were to take out all military style, but that's what appeals to me in RV, don't take my toys away!! Grin

So I wonder if there's anyone out there, we could share some cool translations - like, I'd love to know about RV in German, there was someone Austrian hanging around on one of the lists, wasn't he? Naja, ich hab' seit EWIGKEITEN überhaupt nie Deutsch gesprochen, aber vielleicht erinnere ich mich an etwas... (Well, I haven't spoken German since AGES, but maybe I still recall a thing or two. At least that's what I wanted to say. Grin)

I guess I brought it up on one of the lists once, but it didn't really generate any replies.

We have Swedes here, right? Bo!....Bo!! -waves- And where are all the Israelis? Israelis are everywhere y'know.  Wink

I always thought it was in a foreign language!  One I had to learn to understand!  LOL!  I think one of Lyn's students said it best stating something like "... trying to read ancient Myan that's been encripted thru some long since dead fish language"...

LOL.  I wrote that post on Lyn's website, in Spring of 1996 before I left his house after taking CRV training.  I wonder if he still has it on his site.  I just saw it there some months ago, but the site has changed again. -- PJ

Hi PJ  Smiley

I tried to find it on Lyn's website but couln't.  It was a great quote, wish I could remember it in it's entirety.  It was almost a "rant"...  LOL

Hi Allen,

Yofi!! I never knew you were Israeli. (Or maybe you aren't, you just speak Hebrew b/c you're Jewish or some other reason? - suddenly realizes she's being overly intrusive here - Uh nevermind, you don't have to answer. It's nice enough that you do ERV in Hebrew.  Wink You're the first one I know. My Israeli friends are completely disinterested in psi -sigh- And I haven't managed to entice anyone from our shul to try their hands at RV, either. I have tried! And there are some people who'd be interested I guess, but they're all male and it's hard not to make it seem like a proposal or anything... LOL. With the girls it's hopeless. One of them agreed to make a couple targets for me, but that was half a year ago, and she's still nowhere with my padded envelopes... I wonder what did she do with a stack of padded envelopes. They're odd to have around, aren't they? - That is, if you're not doing RV.

Okay, I'll stop ranting and get back to the topic...

ERV is a lot less structured than CRV and its derivative methodologies, isn't it? Like, you don't say stuff like "ideograms" or "AOL Drive Break" etcetc. on every corner, do you? I don't know, I don't have much experience with ERV. (Or maybe I do, it's just that it's a little murky for me exactly what constitutes ERV.) So what I mean is, it's less trouble with translations, CRV/etc have lots of terminology, while ERV is a lot more freeform. (That's not necessarily so, that's only my impression)

Rachel, yeah, that's my general understanding of it, that in ERV, the viewer's job is to try to stay in that magical zone somewhere between asleep and awake and to do what the monitor says.  The monitor has most of the job of organizing things, asking questions etc.

BUT!  It's depends on who you talk to.  From what I've heard, Morehouse teaches ERV in a way that somewhat follows the CRV structure.  I've heard others say they learned it such that they use a taperecorder and have no physical monitor person to help them.  Lyn B. says that no method taught now is REALLY ERV but instead are forms of guided visualization that may well work but should not be called ERV.  HOwever, Lyn has not yet to my knowledge said why and how that is true so it's of little help to me.  I guess it depends on what the definition of ERV is and who gets a say in the decision and that is something that has not been and probably never will be worked out to everyone's satisfaction.

I agree with Eva ERV is all about going to the magical line of wake/sleep and operating there requesting information from the other side.

Sometimes you need a monitor and sometimes not when we deal with big target that has alot of probing and exploration you need to have a monitor that can be your "left brain" that can operate you and make sure you only retrive information and not have to think or anylize any data just bring it out from the other side.

when you do small targets and need to get only a small piece of informaion you can do it without a monitor for example in practice sites when you know the target is a picture but still blind to its content you can go to the wake/sleep line and ask pre defined questions.

 Cheesy Hello Rocheleh!

Yeah, I think we have the right thing for you! We, that is the ARVA, Austrian Remote Viewing Association. It is our main goal to provide good, firsthand information about RV to germanspeaking people. We are also conducting infotalks and practice-groups in Austria. Currently, we are planning to have a beginners course with Lyn Buchanan in May 2004. You can visit us at www.remote-viewing.at

All the best, Michael Cheesy

Un-glaub-lich!! Shocked

Lyn Buchanan in AUSTRIA?! (Yes PJ, I'm shouting  Wink )

I'd like to join in, of course I would Smiley I don't have plans for May 20-23 yet, so it would be more than doable. Though I wonder how on earth will I RV on Shabbes (no pen, no pencil... oy Hashem).  Anyway, I'll find some solution for that. Could you send me some info - like prices, or accomodation, etc. Yup, I know there is a contact address on the website, but since you're here, I thought I might as well ask you Smiley

Other questions about the website:

Where exactly are your practice groups situated? (Wien or Wiener Neustadt by any chance?) I'd really like to meet up with you folks, and Austria is not that far. Maybe even before May 2004.

You wrote you'd like to be there for German-speaking people, I take it this means there are no RV organizations in other German-speaking countries, only in Austria? It'd surprise me greatly.

Oy vavoy, I really have to brush up on my German now Smiley Oh by the way, Lyn will hold the course in English, or will he? Does he speak German?

Wishing you all the best Smiley ,

Rachel

* TEN THOUSAND ROADS REMOTE VIEWING AND DOWSING PROJECT

Since its opening in 2003, the TKR Project has created and sponsored online opportunities for Remote Viewers and Dowsers. We provide free information, and community for all viewers (of all psychic methods, backgrounds, experience, and perspectives on psi), and an array of software utilities and projects offering real-time viewing within an appropriate RV protocol.

The Ten Thousand Roads (aka TKR) project is independently managed and webmastered by a diverse collection of viewers from around the "online RV field". This project owes thanks to the archives of the Firedocs Remote Viewing Collection for its primary visitor source and to the project Dojo Psi for building out its first RV software custom for TKR.

This project is founded, programmed, designed and $-sponsored by Palyne as a community service. All website names, content, graphics, and slogans are Copyright © (various dates until present) to P.J. Gaenir. Viewers and taskers always own their own content of course. Registered members are welcome to excerpt text or screenshots to communicate about the project, and we always appreciate links back to us! Try this link: http://www.dojopsi.info/forum/ for the forum, or http://www.dojopsi.com/tkr/ for the hands-on viewing area.
