This is a bit off topic.
Up the thread you mentioned
dowsing, maps and recategorizations.
This site might be useful for you"Structurea-De"

Its a general contribution archive of structures and locations
Most importantly was the copywrite notice:
This picture may be used freely for private, academic or" _research" purposes only as long as both the photographer and Structurae are credited properly.

Publication (printed, online or otherwise) or commercial exploitation of the image requires the permission of the photographer and/or copyright owner. If granted permission for use on internet pages, you must include a link back to Structurae — either to this page, the respective data entry or a general link. Please contact Structurae in this case for further information.
Also for world & region

The PDF versions are all about 1 meg and can be exported-saved as png and then resized and converted to every format.
The JPEG versions arre not to shabby either.

That looks great, thanks a ton for that resource!
Over in the dojo, all the practice tasks have two data points related to dowsing. One is how specific the feedback is for location; the other is how specific the feedback is for time.
We would like to associate actual maps to each -- possibly multiple maps to allow several levels. Here's an example:
Say that the target is a structure in Iowa, USA. The first work on the task could be a remote viewing session, along with the first level of dowsing from a world map. The dowser/viewer could get feedback on the world-level for the dowse, correct if needed, then dowse again for the state/province level. Again, they could feedback on the dowse, and if more info was known, dowse again for the metro/region level. When they've reached the level of feedback available for that task, they get specific feedback on the dowsing, and the target is revealed for the remote viewing.
Now apply this same logic to the question of time, as well as space.
The backend work for the dojo even now, let alone stuff in progress, is really overwhelming as far as time goes. Some of the stuff needed though, from collecting and entering maps and their info in a form, to reviewing tasks and making sure various stuff is correct (like what category it's in) and adding the map assignments, could be done by most anybody who is at least familiar enough with computers to fill out online forms (getting through registration & posting on this board probably qualifies anyone here).
We're going to be looking for some local diehards to help, even if it's just a tiny bit of time, to pitch in and get stuff fleshed out so we can open the dowsing gallery for everyone. If we get several people doing little pieces, it won't be such a giant job for a couple (...namely me of course). Anyone crazy enough to volunteer (failing that, will everybody ELSE please take one step back, lol), send a note to anybody on staff about it, with what you're willing/able to do, level of computer/net comfort, and available time. Even 15 minutes once a week, from several people, would cumulatively make it easier! Thanks.
Jolene/Cathybrown:
Please advise what the computer system requirements would be.
(I don't have the ability to work with .pdf files)

Hopefully we can get some volunteers to help out with this!
I've just been getting started with dowsing myself. It could be an invaluable supplement to RV.
A friend forwarded me this link. Check it out:

Here's a nice mapping program:
ACME Mapper 2.0
http://mapper.acme.com/
Based on Google. Runs from your browser. (My browser is IE, so I haven't tested it in others.)
Can also pass location markers merely by sending a URL (though, these can get quite long!). For example, here's map of 0 latitude 0 longitude:
0 latitude 0 longitude
http://mapper.acme.com/?ll=0.00000,-0.00000&z=3&t=R&marker0=0.00000%2C-0.00000%2C0%200
0 lat 0 long and 0 lat 180 long
http://mapper.acme.com/?ll=0.70311,-82.61719&z=3&t=R&marker0=0.00000%2C0.00000%2C0%200&marker1=0.00000%2C180.00000%2C0%20180
Almost north pole and almost south pole, as well as 0 lat 0 long and 0 lat 180 long
http://mapper.acme.com/?ll=0.70311,-82.61719&z=2&t=R&marker0=0.00000%2C180.00000%2C0%20180&marker1=0.00000%2C0.00000%2C0%200&marker2=79.99999%2C-90.00004%2Cn%2080%20w%2090&marker3=-80.00000%2C-90.00004%2Cs%2080%20w%2090
