Yes.

If you look through the discussion topics here, you will find many instances of people using Remote Viewing to locate lost items.

Dowsing is also often used for this purpose.

Good luck in your search.

my mother gave me a necklace for graduation (white gold, circle pendent of diamonds with a star sapphire set on the bottom interior of the circle) and I had it for about 5 days and I went to put it on last night and I can't find it anywhere.

Yes, you don't want to lose that.

Of course you have checked the drawer, around the floor, and questioned others, such as siblings, about its location?

My very first attempt at remote viewing was to find two books I had lost.  This occurred right after I moved into my current home, about nine years ago.  At this point I had unpacked about 85% of the stuff in boxes, but in a couple of cases hadn't yet decided on a permanent "home" for some things.  All of a sudden an urgent need developed for me to access two particular books, but when I went to where I had just set up the bookshelves a week before, the books weren't there.  A sense of panic gripped me.  These particular books are two very small, very thin paperbacks (they are roughly the size of 4 x 6 index cards); thus, they could have been anywhere.

I decided right then and there to give remote viewing a try.  Up until then, I had merely read about remote viewing; I had never tried it on my own.

I immediately just lay down on the floor and went through a simple progressive relaxation routine.  I alternatively tightened and relaxed the various muscle groups in my body.  I also started slowing my breathing.  Finally, I simply tried blanking out my mind, trying to think of absolutely nothing.

After about 5 - 10 minutes, when I seemed to be nice and relaxed, I gently started "asking my mind" to show me where the books were.  What happened next was so different, so striking, that it remains vivid in my memory even today.

The remote viewing literature is full of examples in which the point of view of the remote viewer seems to "zoom in" vertically from high in the sky.  That is exactly what happened to me.  It was as if my "mind's eye" came zooming in from the sky, through the roof of my house, and came to rest hovering directly over these two books, which turned out to be on the top shelf in one of my bedroom closets.  I want to emphasize this point again:  I experienced one "vision", and it was of looking down on these two books as they lay on the top shelf in a closet in one of my bedrooms.  These books were not readily visible from outside the closet, even with the closet door open; they were pushed back somewhat from the front edge of the shelf.  I immediately stood up, walked to this particular closet, reached up and located the books exactly where I had seen them in my vision.  I felt a little tingle of excitement run down my spine; son-of-a-gun, it works.

Of course, a skeptic would say that since I was the one who misplaced the books in the first place, I was simply allowing my subconscious to retrieve the memory of where I placed the books.  That's OK, because my goal was simply to find the books, not prove the existence of RV.  However, the unique point of view of the image which developed in my mind leads me to believe that it was RV.  Over the last several years, as I've gotten more seriously involved in RV, I've experienced the phenomenon dozens of times, so I am no longer worried about proving its existence to myself or others.

So, I recommend giving RV a try to locate your lost necklace.  The main thing I want to emphasize is to not place a lot of pressure on yourself to succeed.  Relax, have fun with it.

Good luck!

Vipbrj,

My wife once lost a very nice bracelet that I'd given her for Christmas one year and was crushed. I love my wife dearly and prayed for her to get it back. She ended up getting it back nearly a year later from a neighbor that had found it in the parking lot at a grocery store not far from our house. My wife got to telling the nieghbor about this bracelet she'd lost and our neighbor said "hey I found a bracelet just like that", went home and was back two minutes later with it.

The point is, I know how heartbreaking that can be, so I thought I'd try. I am truly a novice so you may want to take this with a grain of salt. It may mean absolutely nothing.

I saw the back of a house and grass and someone's foot with flipflops. You may not even have a backyard, but that's what I saw

I also saw an angry woman in her 50s with short hair sitting on a couch. There was a tremendous amount of negativity connected with that image. My brain probably made that up thinking your Mom would be angry. If she already knows its missing, you may want to ask her if she has it. You know, taken it temporarily because she felt you were carless with it or something like that.

Anyway none of that may mean anything. I just wanted to try for you. Good luck.

First time I ever used remote viewing without any help from drugs. I used it to find my remote. so it can be useful in finding objects. but for me at least its hard to focus on a single time frame especially the present. I'm having better luck with it nowdays but its still something I have to work on.

Hmmn, yes, less drugs and more viewing, that is probably a safer recipe. Cheesy

I've found things as well, however I call it psi (not RV) since I know what I'm looking for (and in some cases may well have been exposed to it subconsciously). Doesn't matter, if the goal is to find it and ya do!

Cool story Banded.

One morning I was frantically looking for a pair of socks that were coordinated with the outfit I was wearing.  I'd worn them for an hour or so the night before, so they should have been lying around somewhere.  I looked everywhere and finally raised my hands to the heavens and said "Where are my G__ D___ socks?!?"

Immediately I found myself standing in the livingroom, but with my vision a little less clear than in real life, looking at the corner of the room near the front door.  There was a paper grocery bag and my purse and I understood the socks were under there.  I went back to my body, walked it into the livingroom, picked up the bags and voila, there were the socks.

This wasn't RV, and perhaps wasn't even a true OBE, although I guess you'd call it bilocation.  Anyway, it worked.  Swearing probably enhanced the process.   Kiss

* TEN THOUSAND ROADS REMOTE VIEWING AND DOWSING PROJECT

Since its opening in 2003, the TKR Project has created and sponsored online opportunities for Remote Viewers and Dowsers. We provide free information, and community for all viewers (of all psychic methods, backgrounds, experience, and perspectives on psi), and an array of software utilities and projects offering real-time viewing within an appropriate RV protocol.

The Ten Thousand Roads (aka TKR) project is independently managed and webmastered by a diverse collection of viewers from around the "online RV field". This project owes thanks to the archives of the Firedocs Remote Viewing Collection for its primary visitor source and to the project Dojo Psi for building out its first RV software custom for TKR.

This project is founded, programmed, designed and $-sponsored by Palyne as a community service. All website names, content, graphics, and slogans are Copyright © (various dates until present) to P.J. Gaenir. Viewers and taskers always own their own content of course. Registered members are welcome to excerpt text or screenshots to communicate about the project, and we always appreciate links back to us! Try this link: http://www.dojopsi.info/forum/ for the forum, or http://www.dojopsi.com/tkr/ for the hands-on viewing area.
