This weeks target was the Kowloon "Walled City" in China.

Text Feedback:
The Kowloon Walled City was a tiny Chinese enclave that was located in the middle of British Hong Kong for decades. The Walled City became a haven for crooks and drug addicts, as the Hong Kong Police had no right to enter the City. By the early 1980s, Kowloon Walled City had an estimated population of 35,000. The City was notorious for its excess of brothels, casinos, opium dens, cocaine parlours, food courts serving dog meat, and secret factories. The Kowloon Walled City was also infamous for its high number of unsanitary dentist clinics, since unlicensed dentists could operate there without prosecution. Over time, both the British and the Chinese governments found the massive, anarchic city to be increasingly intolerable - despite the low reported crime rate. The quality of life in the city, sanitary conditions in particular, was far behind the rest of Hong Kong. After "the Joint Declaration" in 1984, the PRC agreed with British authorities to demolish the City and resettle its inhabitants. The mutual decision to tear down the walled city was made in 1987. At that time, it had 50,000 inhabitants on 0.026 km˛, and therefore a very high population density of 1,923,077/km˛, making it one of the most densely populated urban areas on Earth. Evacuations started in 1991 and were completed in 1992. It was torn down in 1993. The area where the monolith once stood is now a park located in today's Kowloon City District. ------------ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kowloon_Walled_City

I know this wasn't the most aesthetically appealing Mission we've ever had, but I thought it would be interesting as an advanced gestalt target. I wanted to see how the monolithic structure and the extreme overpopulation - almost a hive of humans - might come through.

Some neat sessions this week. Hope nobody was too grossed out. Thanks to everyone who participated!

I lived in Kowlooon for about 2 years in 1970 and 1971. We were advised by our Chinese friends and colleagues not to go into the Walled City as it was too dangerous for us "gwai los" (Foreign Devils). One other person who was teaching English there did go in more than once and said, hey, no problem. But being a conservative kind of person by nature, I didn't take the dare. Smiley

Hong Kong then too was one of the most densely crowded places on earth. Really quite an exciting and rewarding place to live in then, though. It was the time of ping pong diplomacy - we couldn't enter mainland China itself.  I also came away with the sense that the people in Hong Kong really take care of each other, even in such an overcrowded environment. Don't know how it was in the Walled City though.

Opium dens and brothels, sounds like a weekend or maybe a week? Smiley

You know it has been said you can take the  boy out of the country but you can't take the country out of the boy. I'm sure they've found out it was the most stupid thing they could possibly have done. Now they've redistributed crime corruption and despair, pretty much what Phoenix and Houston are experiencing now with crime rates soaring 73% since Katrina.

Yes that would have made for an odd ambiance I am sure.

I know some actors are method players, but geeze, Sonny was right down there with them, wanting to rob a bank!

Hey Larry

Thanks for this choice in missions.  I found it most interesting.  Not one of my better connections, but I did feel the tight fit, small space all the way through.

I believe it is a realistic kind of target in that it is a part of our world.

* TEN THOUSAND ROADS REMOTE VIEWING AND DOWSING PROJECT

Since its opening in 2003, the TKR Project has created and sponsored online opportunities for Remote Viewers and Dowsers. We provide free information, and community for all viewers (of all psychic methods, backgrounds, experience, and perspectives on psi), and an array of software utilities and projects offering real-time viewing within an appropriate RV protocol.

The Ten Thousand Roads (aka TKR) project is independently managed and webmastered by a diverse collection of viewers from around the "online RV field". This project owes thanks to the archives of the Firedocs Remote Viewing Collection for its primary visitor source and to the project Dojo Psi for building out its first RV software custom for TKR.

This project is founded, programmed, designed and $-sponsored by Palyne as a community service. All website names, content, graphics, and slogans are Copyright © (various dates until present) to P.J. Gaenir. Viewers and taskers always own their own content of course. Registered members are welcome to excerpt text or screenshots to communicate about the project, and we always appreciate links back to us! Try this link: http://www.dojopsi.info/forum/ for the forum, or http://www.dojopsi.com/tkr/ for the hands-on viewing area.
