The mayan/(aztec?) was clearly good data, but what I found most intresting was the the word nuclear. There are people who say there is evidence that humans have had nuclear weapons in the distant past. I don't know if that is ture, but your data can be interpreted as agreeing with that theory.

I thought it meant that the gizmo is trying to warn us of our own actions, but you're right... the words also can be read the way you read them.

Is this peripheral information as reliable as the core response? - I guess that's a silly question because if it was... that would mean that there really is such a gizmo waiting to be found... but since we haven't found it yet, the question cannot be answered...
sorry... I'm just babbling...
this stuff is just so fascinating...

Hi Murphys,

Quote
Hey... those childhood nightmares that everyone has... perhaps many of them are psychic?....but we were taught to dismiss them?

I have a little girl who just turned 8, and so I've actually given this idea some thought. I do believe that kids are wildly psychic, but that they also dream in real intense extremes of emotion in every direction, both with and without psi--except to say 'without' infers that thoughts are not on some level their own reality of course, and perhaps they are--but I think you know what I mean.

I have always tried to talk about dreams in a way suggesting that there are many different kinds; some are other-worlds-other-lives, some are creative movies we make up ourselves, some are movies our body makes up to tell us something about itself, and so on.

Quote
{{"Has it occurred to you that you may have been inquiring of several different, and equally legitimate, sources of information there, all with their own perspectives on an answer to that?"}}  OK...big can of worms just opened up!

Oh goodie.  I love worms. Grin  It's "worm philosophy" that makes many aspects of RV really fun to talk about. Grin

Quote
You mean that these answers can come from more than one source? WOW. That really confuses the situation. I assumed that there was only one channel on this TV and that the channel was just being interpreted in various ways.... geez, now you tell me we have cable?

Hey wait! You were the one who said you thought either 'aliens' or 'the matrix' had 'sent you' the info.  Those aren't 'sources'??  I was just continuing that line of thinking, saying that since you had addressed "ancestors, aliens or..." in your comments, that if you were actually getting info from such sources, they might be DIFFERENT sources.

But back to the point. Actually I agree with you--I think it is a matter of interpretation--but Aspect RV tells me that how it is presented and interpreted can depend on what we choose to query. In other words it is like, who or what or HOW we query, has as much effect on the information as anything else.  You can get info through smoke signals, a song or heiroglyphics, and even if 'the same' info is in all of them, it is really NOT the same info, just by nature of its different form, if you see what I mean--and, might not be "interpreted" the same, either.

Quote
Who did the answering? Since it was after reading ALIEN AGENDA I sort of assumed that it was some nice alien who happened to be on the ball...

Well I tend to think everything is from-within-ourselves but I also think that whatever belief systems we hold can determine the flavor or format of what we get. It is possible that one could ask ancestors, aliens, or their cat for psychic info, get it in all three cases, but it would likely vary a bit in each. Whether it REALLY came from any of those sources, vs. from ourselves, or whether there is some 'merge' of 'self-and-other' on another level, who knows?? That is part of the personal philosophy (and often semi-religious belief systems) that RV tends to involve its viewers in, eventually.

Quote
In RV we got the AOL thingy to consider....

In life, too.  One thing regular RV does, is make you realize how much of the interpretation issues, analytic issues, selective and changeable memory issues, etc. are not really RV-specific but are life-wide -- it's just that because we are focusing in so tiny on RV we really notice. :-)

Quote
and we hardly understand what we are drawing, right?

Certainly that's the way it is for me.  I think sometimes the less I understand it the better I do lol.

Quote
So how are these visions(answers)  rated?

Rated?  Like "PG-13 or R"?  Like "That's a 9.765! Murphys lost .072 points for that error on the final landing."

Quote
Do we take them at face value? ... or are they just as cryptic? If they are just as cryptic, then most of the visions are useless, aren't they?

What exactly did you want to use them for?  I mean your question that spawned the vision was super open-ended and esoteric.  They won't  make you breakfast, date your sister or solve your tax problems. But even if they are not 'literal' and even if they were 'esoteric' to begin with, that is not to say that on various levels of consciousness we are not benefitting BOTH from the experience and from the information.

Quote
-because our ego misinterprets them, right?

RV protocol--which has feedback as a primary component--exists to validate psi. Without feedback, nothing is 'objectively' validated. Without feedback, most everything we experience is 'subjectively' validated though. I see viewers who have no hard feedback, even when they have a known-tasking as FB, make the most incredible leaps of assumption to explain their data, while viewers faced with the hard FB of a photo or news story with far closer sessions just shake their head and go, "Well ok. That one was a total miss!"  The fact is that psychologically, UNLESS you have hard feedback for your left brain, you are usually going to at least semi-validate whatever psi work you do.  You won't know how much your 'ego' may have misinterpreted it--I personally think interpretation happens at several levels including way below the conscious/ego level--because you don't have feedback.

Quote
.... or should we trust them more because we are experiencing them in an altered state and the ego is not as active as it usually is?

Well I would say that the reason you proffer is certainly not a reason for trust--that would verge on "assume" in that case--although trust may happen in other contexts, such as a viewer having a really highly consistent skill; but even in that case it becomes a matter of 'degree'... trust isn't a black and white thing, but more a statistical probability.

Quote
It's two questions in English grammar, but it was only one question in the thought packet. (Does this make sense to you?)

Perfectly.  Thanks.

Quote
Yep.... those were my thoughts on it four years ago. More and more I'm beginning to think that it's from inside.... I'm just remembering what I already knew.... since everything already 'IS'.

That seems to be McMoneagle's belief system and, while it is a 'belief system', when it comes to RV skill it damn sure seems to be working for him. Grin

Quote
{{"What if you just zoomed in or out to it?  What if another part of you at some level between omniscience and Murphys "translated" for you?" }} I'd like to point out that it sounds quite narcissistic to assume that this is the case, but dismissing it just because it sounds narcissistic is not very good either... so.... yes I'm open to this as well!

LOL.  Just a philosophy. If God (or spirit or consciousness or...) is in all things, are two things twice as much god as one thing?  Would all the combined atoms of a human body be slightly more pieces of god than in an ant?  Would the god-atoms of your kitchen table have rights and eventual spiritual evolution too?  When we (as physicists say) release and absorb atoms with/from the people and objects around us, are we sharing god-pieces and hence then slightly 'merged' or 'shared' with them?  Does the evolution of a small part of me depend on how things go with my cat who now holds those former-me atoms?  Might "god" be the "ever-growing sum total" of all things that are?  Are we as a person-identity a kind of god to the smaller collection of god-atoms/consciousness that is our liver?  On some level we don't understand does the consciousness of our liver pray to us if it needs healing? Are we in turn part of a larger collection of consciousness that, like dust mites on a human, we can't even perceive? Are chakras, as they look, really galaxies?  I could go on for several hours like this. :-)

My original point though was that whether you think of information as "part of you" or "separate from you," whether you think of the 'source' as part or separate, this is basically a  matter of personal philosophy, theosophy and theology.

Quote
I think I'm asking these questions because I don't know what's common knowledge in RV groups. I'm trying to find common ground to stand on.

Well, there's almost no such thing really. Every RV group is different. Most have very specific belief systems and are limited to people using a given method or philosophy or trainer-etc.; others (like the TKR project) are open to people using any method or philosophy.  Viewers come in all colors, in every sense of the phrase, and you can really only figure who you're talking to. Grin

It's nice to meet new people though. Usually new people end up writing me email and I am DELIGHTED to meet new people who will actually post publicly with others!

PJ you are so wonderfully helpful!

I'm starting to understand your thoughts on the points that I brought up.  JoeM talked about the 'lights' that he once thought were external.... and his conclusion that they were actually created by him. The more I talk to you the more you seem to want me to understand that this pyschic stuff is from within.

In a nutshell...
Somehow, internally, I know everything, almost on a godly level,  but my ego, being the jerk that it is,  misinterprets just about everything and, like the jerk that he is,  forces it on me anyway. (What an a-hole!!)

OK, so what about my 'vision' from the diner from my friend's perspective? How did that work?
I think I got way too many things right for it to be brushed off as a coincidence.  Experiencing things from someone else's perspective... is this some form of RV? (ok, i know you don't want me to title it... um...,  do people attempt to do this? Is this one of the things RVers do in training? )

and finally, my first close to protocol(?) event!

(semi)double blind question sends me this vision about mayan culture.... the question was about cultures that predate recorded history.
Bingo!
I'm most proud of this one....
but what of all that other information that I got? am I supposed to wander off like that? When do I know to cut off?
(for this one I just kinda told myself...ok that should be enough...I can come back and check it out later if i want to...)

also, I DID NOT KNOW WHAT THE QUESTION WAS.
I never tried to view the content of the envelope. I just saw the number and dived in.... no real cooldown either. it was was of my typical 'instant' cooldowns.

Do RVers not attempt to read the content of the envelope? (i certainly didn't!  it's like my 'body' knew what to do... and it just did it...)
It's weird how I get this eloborate answer to a question that I don't even know. Would RVing the content of the envelope be damaging to the end result?

RVing has a sense of humor!?

IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN "STAR TREK: THE MOTION PICTURE" (1978?) AND YOU PLAN TO... PLEASE DO NOT READ ANY FUTHER AS THIS MESSAGE WILL SPOIL IT FOR YOU.

OK, this is funny.

my buddy sent me:

-----------------------------
The next number is:

370431

-----------------------------
MY RV record

Star Trek
Space- Some stars...
Jupiter ?(a big large pink planet partially shadowed)
The line up of the planets
A 'model' of our solar system
Trajectory from Earth --> curves around and makes an arc
It's a space probe
checking out the big pink planet (Jupiter?)
Life on the big pink planet
A pair of beings is watching the event
a crash on the planet surface
a dust cloud
vehicle is used to go to the crash location
machinery broken
some parts salvageable
(Carl Sagan's?) "Hello" plaque is viewed
it is studied
ships sent here

-----------------------

MY FRIENDS e-mail
THE QUESTION WAS:
Who will succeed John Paul II and when will he do it?

-----------------------
-----------------------

I have three interpretations:
(1) I totally messed up!! (this seldom happens, but it has happened )
(2) The pope is, or will be, an alien, or at the very leas,t there is some hanky panky going on between the church and space aliens.
(3)  This is a Trekkie joke.

Trekkies out there... do you get it?

(I am a Trekkie. There. I've said it. I've seen all the movies and I have a rather large video collection, too!)
My buddy who sent me the question is also a Trekkie, oops... I shouldn't be talking for him....

In the movie, ST: TMP, the big oooh... ahhh... secret was that the 'alien' machine that was attacking Earth was actually the space probe sent by NASA years ago called VOYAGER. It was just returning 'home.' Throughout the movie the machine calls itself V'GER because debris has muddled up some of the letters on its logo and the machine, after becoming sentient, thinks it's name is V'GER.

Had I not had the very first clue, I would never have come to this conclusion, but since the very first clue was this 'odd ball' answer: STAR TREK, and since it was the VERY FIRST CLUE, as if a PREFACE... I came to this unnerving conclusion. Though only a true Trekkie would appreciate it, I'm pretty sure this is a Trekkie joke.

"Not PROBE, damnit!, POPE!"

(If you read my RV record again, it will make you laugh. It makes 'me' laugh. This is the kind of prank i'd pull on a close friend, so if you say my future self was pulling my own leg on this one, I'd most certainly believe you!)

Thanks for sharing that one.

If you check out the TKR galleries (there's a link at the top of the page), you will see that the subconscious seems to have a nice sense of humor in these things.

I think working with your friend is helpful too, it adds some energy.  Also posting on the WWW helps, I think.

Keep at it, and again, thanks for sharing.

I'd like to think that the Probe/Pope session is a joke-hit, but a huge part of me thinks that it's a very far stretch.

In order to keep improving, I want to digest the session and I want to form my own opinion of it's success.... however, this session is probably a total mess up, or it's an amazing 'joke.'  If it is an amazing joke, then I certainly don't want to penalize myself for getting this unique hit, and if it is a total miss, then I certainly don't want to pat myself on the back for it!

My goal is to improve, not to 'settle'. Guys, what is your verdit on this one?

My session yesterday involved a question arising from the Bible.
I don't think the content should be made public, so I won't post it like I did the other sessions. But...

my answer  started off with a bearded man wearing a white cloth ... I had this impression that he was from the middle east, and then for some reason, I wrote down, 'Bin Laden type of person' meaning, to me,  ethnic background -not character or infamousness (is that a word?).  Makes sense, right? It was only a short note for myself...

My question(s) for the day:
I've read that I should not try to name things,  especially early on in the session because.. well for obvious reasons, but um... since it, the name, came out... what was I to do about it? When this happens, should I try to ingore it, or should I go down that path and see what comes up? In this case, I went down the path of this 'Bin Laden type person' and I got an eloborate answer.

The bigger question:
Is it possible that I started out correctly... then AOLed prompted by the 'Bin Laden' name, but then started to RV something worthwhile on the Bin Laden path? It is possible to spin off a 'correct' RV and go do something 'real' and worthy of note elsewhere,  or should I just write it off as  a fantasy? (Do you understand my question??)

Thanks guys!

* TEN THOUSAND ROADS REMOTE VIEWING AND DOWSING PROJECT

Since its opening in 2003, the TKR Project has created and sponsored online opportunities for Remote Viewers and Dowsers. We provide free information, and community for all viewers (of all psychic methods, backgrounds, experience, and perspectives on psi), and an array of software utilities and projects offering real-time viewing within an appropriate RV protocol.

The Ten Thousand Roads (aka TKR) project is independently managed and webmastered by a diverse collection of viewers from around the "online RV field". This project owes thanks to the archives of the Firedocs Remote Viewing Collection for its primary visitor source and to the project Dojo Psi for building out its first RV software custom for TKR.

This project is founded, programmed, designed and $-sponsored by Palyne as a community service. All website names, content, graphics, and slogans are Copyright © (various dates until present) to P.J. Gaenir. Viewers and taskers always own their own content of course. Registered members are welcome to excerpt text or screenshots to communicate about the project, and we always appreciate links back to us! Try this link: http://www.dojopsi.info/forum/ for the forum, or http://www.dojopsi.com/tkr/ for the hands-on viewing area.
