I'm not real keen on the tone of the article, but...

http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2012/03/14/controversial-psychic-ability-claim-doesnt-hold-up-in-new-experiments/?intcmp=features

"Skeptics may scoff at the finding as obvious, but the research is important because it refutes a study published in a psychological journal last year that claimed to find evidence of extrasensory perception. That research, conducted by Daryl Bem of Cornell University, triggered outrage in the psychological community when the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology announced in 2010 that the paper had been accepted for publication. Psychologists immediately leapt on Bem's statistics and methods, finding reasons how he may have come up with the unbelievable results."

The only conclusion I came away with, was the people factor, they forget to factor in how people
react differently to reaching into the mind, at that enviorment , I imagine most pepole at a unviersity enviorment reaching inside
the brain for memory rather than trying to remember a dream of what the words were.

To me this is a critical difference.Where we are used to attaining information in that manner, it would and could be tottally foreign concept.

No wonder it is not repeatable, much like the Basketball scenario that Pj enlightened me on, missing a free throw proves basketball does not exist, let us not discount our psychic basketball players that play a role in the (after all it s a psychic game after all) . Sceptics trying to prove and or reprove  an  psychic experiment with non psychic or skeptic players, is doomed to fail. (bias exist(in all of us) trying to reach an unbiased state would be next to impossible imo. Either way belief systems are involved. Within the playing field of the scope of the experiement.

lol ... any informed person would have predicted Wiseman and French would fail to replicate. I'd still give Bem his point fair and square at this stage, unbiased experimenters need to try it before drawing conclusions.

ahh but they failed to mention this:

By the deadline, six studies attempting to replicate the Retroactive Recall effect had been completed, including the three failed replications reported by Ritchie et al. and two other replications, both of which successfully reproduced my original findings at statistically significant levels.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.

lol wiseman and french are like Laurel and Hardy - absolutely useless and to think they are
professors at prestigious universities in England is a travesty. Just ignore them. I do.

Ever the bastion of objectivity and science, as usual.  Cheesy

* TEN THOUSAND ROADS REMOTE VIEWING AND DOWSING PROJECT

Since its opening in 2003, the TKR Project has created and sponsored online opportunities for Remote Viewers and Dowsers. We provide free information, and community for all viewers (of all psychic methods, backgrounds, experience, and perspectives on psi), and an array of software utilities and projects offering real-time viewing within an appropriate RV protocol.

The Ten Thousand Roads (aka TKR) project is independently managed and webmastered by a diverse collection of viewers from around the "online RV field". This project owes thanks to the archives of the Firedocs Remote Viewing Collection for its primary visitor source and to the project Dojo Psi for building out its first RV software custom for TKR.

This project is founded, programmed, designed and $-sponsored by Palyne as a community service. All website names, content, graphics, and slogans are Copyright © (various dates until present) to P.J. Gaenir. Viewers and taskers always own their own content of course. Registered members are welcome to excerpt text or screenshots to communicate about the project, and we always appreciate links back to us! Try this link: http://www.dojopsi.info/forum/ for the forum, or http://www.dojopsi.com/tkr/ for the hands-on viewing area.
