About three minutes.  Thought I'd take a short cut and lump all my pre-session distractions into one set-aside to save time.  Instead of setting aside the phone, the dog, etc., etc., I set aside The World as a distraction.

Proceeded to take coordinates three times, literally wrote BOING!  Felt like the lunar landing I'd done previously.

Got honked off, "nobody can do this!" (in spite of the fact I knew I had viewed successfully in the past), tossed my pen down and walked off.

Two weeks later it hit me:  You can't get site contact at a real world site if you set aside the world.  If you do, you go BOING!  I told Lyn that on the phone and I thought he was going to choke.  I'm sure he laughed until his ribs hurt after that one.

Not the answer you were looking for, but a true story none the less.

Well I think whether we should call something a 'session' is up for debate here... Generally, I call it an "exercise" if it's shorter than 30 minutes. (I suppose by that logic I should call it a "drama" when it's over 90, LOL.)

I call them "flashgrabs" when a target is 1-4 minutes (flashgrab-1 is 1 minute), "5 and dive" or "Timed-10" or "15-flat" -- the common 'exercises' I used to do a lot of.

When I've been away from viewing a long time and go back to it, initially getting data to flow promptly and well is a bother. So I usually end up forcing it by just giving myself a super limited amount of time and telling myself, ok, it's a race, it's a contest, gimme what ya got! Be quick about it! And the timer goes off and I see what I was able to get by then. This does pretty well at bringing the data in promptly rather than 'wandering in the dark waiting' which is absolute agony for me. Once I have returned to being able to focus and get 'hit' with the data fast then I can drop those.

I think I have some really ancient, early-dojo days flashgrabs, hang on....

Flashgrab-1 http://www.dojopsi.com/tkr/rv/gallery/dspractice.cfm?dsid=1491&pw=XW7692TT6K
Flashgrab-3 http://www.dojopsi.com/tkr/rv/gallery/dspractice.cfm?dsid=289&pw=XW7692TT6K

There were more. They were even worse LOL.

However these demonstrate you can definitely get accurate data in a short time.

So it's a matter of "the reason for doing the session."  I think practice esp. for new people is ideal if it's quite short, like 10 minutes, because then feedback is a) very close in time to the experience, and  b) data is more limited which is good as there's less confusion about what experience matches what element of the target.

The shortest for me was 2 minutes on the day I did my very first session 14th july2012  lol I then spent many hrs afterwards looking up what  RV was in PJ's firedocs and I’m still here and still looking  and learning .

I lay on the bed , eyes closed repeated the tag numbers let my mind go blank and wrote down the first things that i saw. Excitement got the better of me and got the feedback.

Getting out of the car one day and reminding myself to do some practice sessions after I got situated at work. I had a flash of the first target and wrote it down when I got to the desk.

Other times I was just sitting at work, pulled up a task wrote one word an that was it.

I call it pre-cog. As soon as I know I'm going to do the session the answer was there.

Fastest session 1/3 of a second.

But what is time? Maybe I dreamed it and recalled it weeks later? Maybe I always knew..

About 2 to 5 mins.
Usually in 30 mins, I can expect at least 5-7 targets to be viewed, the quality of data and accuracy isn't as good as an longer, half hour session. Usually in an half hour session I am connecting with the target several times within the 30 mins to give an more comprehensive understanding of what it is.

Shhh...be quiet I am hidding underneath your keyboard hunting dust bunnies.

It's only crazy if I view the wrong target, what does it make me if I get the target exactly right?

* TEN THOUSAND ROADS REMOTE VIEWING AND DOWSING PROJECT

Since its opening in 2003, the TKR Project has created and sponsored online opportunities for Remote Viewers and Dowsers. We provide free information, and community for all viewers (of all psychic methods, backgrounds, experience, and perspectives on psi), and an array of software utilities and projects offering real-time viewing within an appropriate RV protocol.

The Ten Thousand Roads (aka TKR) project is independently managed and webmastered by a diverse collection of viewers from around the "online RV field". This project owes thanks to the archives of the Firedocs Remote Viewing Collection for its primary visitor source and to the project Dojo Psi for building out its first RV software custom for TKR.

This project is founded, programmed, designed and $-sponsored by Palyne as a community service. All website names, content, graphics, and slogans are Copyright © (various dates until present) to P.J. Gaenir. Viewers and taskers always own their own content of course. Registered members are welcome to excerpt text or screenshots to communicate about the project, and we always appreciate links back to us! Try this link: http://www.dojopsi.info/forum/ for the forum, or http://www.dojopsi.com/tkr/ for the hands-on viewing area.
