I've got this problem... well at least I think it's a problem... For a long while I have always had this "idea" that my "intuitive-self" is separate from my "non-intuitive-self". Separate as in I am 2 different persons inside this human body.

Well somehow, I got this logic in my head that being "psychic" was just about trusting your intuitive-self... I had this idea that, maybe people are just being mean and ignoring their intuitive-self... I decided early on, that I didn't want to be THAT GUY. I didn't want to be THAT JERK. I decided that I would fully commit to trusting my "intuitive-self". So, anytime I had a "hunch", I had a "feeling", I had a "sense" I always acted on it. There was no ifs, ands, or buts... I always acted on it.

Fast-Forward 2012... I'm still doing it...

-Sometimes, when I'm driving home...I get this "sense" that I should move to the other lane...So... I move to the other lane. But it is just ridiculous because there is absolutely no one else on the road but me.

-Sometimes, I get this "feeling" that I need to check the door...So... I get up out of my bed, literally go upstairs and check the door. But it is ridiculous because the door was already locked!

-Sometimes, I'm walking down the street and I get this "urge" to kneel down and tie my shoe...so I kneel down and tighten my shoe laces. But it is ridiculous because my shoe laces were already on really tight!

Soo... Do you kinda see what I'm saying?...trusting my intution sometimes gets really ridiculous... almost border-line paranoia, I almost feel like my "intuitive-self" is always testing me, always trying to see if I still trust and listen to him. But yea, that's my problem. I'm wondering if anyone else has the same problem.

Well, I'm a weirdo so bear that in mind, but I suspect we all have dozens of identities living in us, we're just oblivious to all but the surface-presentation. What we call our subconscious is a vast conglomerate better suited to a cosmic jungian model than oldstyle western psychology.

You don't know why it happened but your assumptions may be wrong. Maybe your inner self is training you and someday, leaning over to tie your already tied shoe will cause you to miss a bullet or something. I'd try to develop a sense of humor about it, and start getting "conversational" with your 'inner self' across the board.

Alexis, maybe you could try and not act on the sensations, that is not change the lane, not tie the shoes, just notice the hunch and see what happens.

There are for sure lots of thoughts floating around in our collective subconscious affecting us; So, should we more be our own boss, or should we let ourselves be governed?

"I hear voices telling me to do things."

It's OK. Actually everybody gets "impulse" thoughts, and sometimes, in an action situation, they can save your life.

Thing is, the mind is linked to the body. If the body or mind feels stressed or in danger, it will respond, looking for possible danger.

Paranoia is UNREASONABLE fear. And quite frankly, a lot of control/government/authority processes are conducted through the use of fear.

Just pick up a newspaper and count the "happy" stories. Exactly.

What the mind/people seek is balance - equilibrium, being able to cope. A little stress is helpful, in that it can motivate people. Too much is harmful, because then the mind gets warped - at least temporarily - into a state where it can't perceive, because the data is too harmful for the conscious mind.

I'm very keen on telling people who get into RV - make sure you've got a good social network, friends and family, to keep grounded and "down to earth". De-stress and de-pressurise as much as you feel the need.

It's kind of a mental growth issue - for a mind to grow and develop, there has to be a space and sustenance for the mental processes to continue.

No stimulation = no development. TOO MUCH = overload.

* TEN THOUSAND ROADS REMOTE VIEWING AND DOWSING PROJECT

Since its opening in 2003, the TKR Project has created and sponsored online opportunities for Remote Viewers and Dowsers. We provide free information, and community for all viewers (of all psychic methods, backgrounds, experience, and perspectives on psi), and an array of software utilities and projects offering real-time viewing within an appropriate RV protocol.

The Ten Thousand Roads (aka TKR) project is independently managed and webmastered by a diverse collection of viewers from around the "online RV field". This project owes thanks to the archives of the Firedocs Remote Viewing Collection for its primary visitor source and to the project Dojo Psi for building out its first RV software custom for TKR.

This project is founded, programmed, designed and $-sponsored by Palyne as a community service. All website names, content, graphics, and slogans are Copyright © (various dates until present) to P.J. Gaenir. Viewers and taskers always own their own content of course. Registered members are welcome to excerpt text or screenshots to communicate about the project, and we always appreciate links back to us! Try this link: http://www.dojopsi.info/forum/ for the forum, or http://www.dojopsi.com/tkr/ for the hands-on viewing area.
