I have been for years using entheogens like Cannabis and Mushrooms to expand my vision to make things clear as I see them I beleive the anceints and prophetic prophets who used mind altering substances to acheive new states of consciouss like my self can explore time and space with clear understandable vision of Alien life and worlds and time and places here on Earth also memory regretion some have remembered beingborn but then remembering as far back as conception.

Proper use of certain substances can help you acheive new states of conscioussness. Anyone else ever try this? or at leat know about it anyway.

Well, I think Timothy Leary was big on it....

Mind-affecting substances have been used for millenia in the search of who-knows-what, both by the very wise and prophetic, and the average teenager.

I believe, however, that the jury is still out on whether it simply enhances the imagination through hallucination or if things experienced in these states actually has anything to do with anything.

While indulging in a fine spliff of Columbian can be fun, some folks (more so the wise ones than the teenagers) prefer the clear-minded, unpolluted approach of meditation to expand their vision.

All the researchers I've asked about this topic over the last 10 years tell me that so far, without exception, remote viewing is more successful 'clean' than under the influence of anything.  For whatever that's worth.

IMHO....

The natural substances (God-grown) you mention, I think, are best used only on occassion, with a clear high intention and a very deep respect for the spirit/collective consiousness of the plant(s)/herb(s) of choice.

As far as RV and these psychoactives, I cannot imagine why it would ever be necessary to be under the influence of anything like this during an actual session.

In many cultures plants such as the ones mentioned above are seen as medicine, spiritual medicine, perhaps to open up ones heart/mind/awareness.....but to be able to receive the gift of its message or to retain the gift of the experience seems to be the common goal. Not to rely on it or be excessive in its use. And certainly not to need it to achieve anything that one would do on a regular or even a
semi-regular basis (such as RV'ing).

Why? Because ultimateley, it also seems, all we need is within us. Natural medicines can only bring up and/or enhance what is an innate part of what you and I already possess. Even if it has been, at times, like pulling teeth to get these aspects of ourselves to to surface.

Just my 2 ha' pennys worth of contibution to this thread  Wink

I second the notion that psychoactive substances are not something one wants to grow reliant on. Ultimately, you have to make adjustments in your own thoughts and behavior in order for anything to change permanently.  Ultimately, I would agree that you need to figure out how to achieve these states on your own and perform your sessions without it. It's always better to stand on your own two feet, to live by your own will, so to speak.

I think Cannabis in very small amounts - perhaps a couple of hits on a mild J - can be helpful, but getting completely stoned off your head is a waste of time and dope.

I've experimented with Neroli oil 2night to very good effect - since it seemed to reduce the amount of aol's I have and help me focus on the target.

Salvia Divinorum in small doses seems to send you to the far side of straight.  Weird.  I'll have to try it with RV and see if there's any effect - after I've had my Ginseng and Ginko Bilboa dry period.  Of course - I'll keep taking the B.vits and the legal drugs like Coffee... Chocolate etc.. ;-)

hm... think it depends on your perspective...
i consider caffeine and alcohol so harmful as to never consume them.. and the jury is still out on chocolate although i do consider it addictive and harmful in a similar way to mj..it messes with hormones and can become emotionally addictive for some people.  I have even stopped drinking ginko B. tea except occasionally because i noticed that drinking it with regularity and then not having access to it for a couple of days left me feeling irritable...
mj doesnt seem to hurt a session, but one has a lot more control and a finer grasp of conceptuals without it and it is definitely emotionally addictive.  better not to go there in the first place.

I would be very interested in whether you can even operate your HANDS on salvia divinorum.. letalone a computer.
it is a hallucinogen, but of a completely different nature to mushrooms or mescaline or acid.   Salvia changes your relation to reality in such a way as to alter completely your perception of what you ARE and what everything else is. You can not think normally.  you may experience a memory as if you were living it at that age or yourself and everything else may become pure geometry etc etc your thinking is so vastly different that most people i know who have tried salvia dont really like it much.  it is just very alien somehow.. compared to say.. mushrooms or acid.  on mushrooms/acid it is entirely possible to reel your mind in and bully yourself into functioning well enough to write a session or go to the shops or change a dvd.  on salvia.. just moving at all intentionally requires prodigal effort at forming a thought - you are more likely to have involuntary movement
i dont think it would even be possible while in an altered state on salvia to even get up and go to the bathroom coherently.  You are beyond all relation of bathrooms and trousers and the cognitive process of standing, walking to an intended place and completing some act there is not able to be processed.  Its like trying to process cheese in a disk drive.  no relation..

if you do try salvia and want to do a session and you do manage to write one.. i would be extremely interested in seeing it.  personally i am just not curious enough about that one to even try.  I have tried salvia and dont enjoy it. I doubt seriously whether it would enhance psi ability. it temporarily disables the unifying executive function in the brain and renders you unable to selectively organise or recall information at will.  if you do decide to try this exp (and more power to you if you do (shrug) - curiosity is a fine thing) then i *strongly* advise you to intake salvia via smoking in a pipe rather than chewing the leaves.  Smoking will produce something between a minute up to an hour effect at most.  Chewing leaves will leave you in that state for four to six hours.  Trust me - you dont really want that..  go with the smoking way.

I was given some Salvia ages ago.  It's the mildest sort you can get ahold of - not the gonzo bananas stuff:D  I've never hallucinated on it - even after a couple of cigarettes.  I know people who use it as herbal tobacco.  I noticed that it brightens the colours slightly, enhances the mood to a small degree and gives a feeling of well being and relaxation.  I've never tried the full on 'enter another dimension' power stuff and from what I've heard of it I agree that Rving would probably be impossible - to communicate anyway.

I think it might be contra indicated with Ginseng too.

Sorry - I should have mentioned all that in the first post.

Ok Morgan.  Smoked a little of my mild SD and did a session.  See the galleries - Jupiter:)

I wandered off target pretty quickly but I do that a lot anyways.

* TEN THOUSAND ROADS REMOTE VIEWING AND DOWSING PROJECT

Since its opening in 2003, the TKR Project has created and sponsored online opportunities for Remote Viewers and Dowsers. We provide free information, and community for all viewers (of all psychic methods, backgrounds, experience, and perspectives on psi), and an array of software utilities and projects offering real-time viewing within an appropriate RV protocol.

The Ten Thousand Roads (aka TKR) project is independently managed and webmastered by a diverse collection of viewers from around the "online RV field". This project owes thanks to the archives of the Firedocs Remote Viewing Collection for its primary visitor source and to the project Dojo Psi for building out its first RV software custom for TKR.

This project is founded, programmed, designed and $-sponsored by Palyne as a community service. All website names, content, graphics, and slogans are Copyright © (various dates until present) to P.J. Gaenir. Viewers and taskers always own their own content of course. Registered members are welcome to excerpt text or screenshots to communicate about the project, and we always appreciate links back to us! Try this link: http://www.dojopsi.info/forum/ for the forum, or http://www.dojopsi.com/tkr/ for the hands-on viewing area.
