Hi Dave,
I remember that dream of yours. It was really interesting. Did you ever try
listening to 4 radios at the same time?
It would be good training to be able to try and hone in on just one radio and
try to make sense of what was going on.
Sounds like good practice for RV.
Cheers Liz

G'day Liz,
I always thought of it more in terms of trying to understand all four at the
same time. Doh!!! . This is a good
example of me obsessing on one possibility and overlooking another which is
obvious to someone else -- a classic example of possibly "missing the mark".
Both may be beneficial in their own way though. Making sense of all four
simultaneously might just possibly be more of a very advanced technique.
What you suggest sounds more my speed right now.

Hi Liz,
I hadn't heard of that -- sounds like a great exercise! I am going to try
it!
In one theatre workshop I was in during the 1970s, the coach had us practice
a kind of similar exercise for focus and concentration. We would do a cold
reading or memorized monolog, while everyone in the workshop did their best
to distract us -- making loud sounds, etc., barring only physical contact
which was not allowed.
I think I might do well with this 4-radio exercise, probably because I was
brought up in a family where everyone talks at once, esp. during large
family gatherings, and you have to learn how to hone in on whoever's
conversation you really want to hear, above all the others LOLOL! ;? )

Hello,
This is my first posting. I bid you all good will.
In response to the radio question, I must tell you that my experiences with
rvıers began in the 80ıs.
I am an empath and I have often been distracted, dismayed, or even awestruck
by the emotions of others.
I have since then discovered that many external emotions affect me greatly,
this I noticed for the first time on the space shuttle crash.
Since then I have almost always played radio and tv simultaneously in order
to block out the emotional distractions from others or from the media or
even from myself.
For a while I even walked around with a walking radio just to make sure no
subliminal messages on the department store intercom could affect me.
Even to this day I still play these two media sources together and find calm
as I work here in my home office.
Just a thought to consider....

I usually have radio and tv and some type of reading material all the time.
I find it helps me to direct my focus and practice moving awareness around
from one to another.
Also because Iım an empath, it helps to screen out the overwhelming emotions
that come from the tv so I donıt feel stuff that doesnıt pertain to me.
BTW, whatıs the ed dames phenomona?
I can remmeber having some contact with him a certain channel at one time,
and it wasnıt good.

Hi Linda,
LOL I love it! Sounds just like my family. Lots of adults, lots of kids
running around, lots of food and drink and loads of noise. My partner had
culture shock for a while 'cos his family is very quiet, classical music in the
background and just the right table setting. LOL
