Hi everyone,
I think there might be a clue to why some people get an itchy nose during RV
sessions.
I read somewhere that certain recreational drugs trigger off a chemical within
us that affects the tip of the nose and makes it itchy. I think one of the drugs
may have been cocaine but I'm not sure.
I'm thinking that RV may trigger the same chemical reaction therefore giving
some of us an itchy nose. Maybe someone with more knowledge of the effects of
body chemistry could investigate into this.
Cheers
Liz

Hi Liz,
When I was learning ERV sometimes I used to itch, but it wasn't just my
nose, but all over. I don't know why, but just as I was trying to get
relaxed my leg would start to itch, or my arm, or my face....the sort of
itch that hurts, and you just *have* to scratch.....and the more you scratch
the more you itch. :-). It used to drive me absolutely crazy. Once I'd got
myself 'centred' so I couldn't feel my body then I was OK, but I used to
have an awful job 'getting there' sometimes, and even failing totally.
I don't seem to get it so much now, but I don't do so much ERV, but I think
it just started to go anyway. Maybe it's just when you start out; not sure.
The same thing used to happen when I played Gerald O'Donnell's tapes and
attempt to relax, so my guess is that it could be psychological thing (in my
case anyway).
Regards,
Glyn

Hiya Liz.. Chemical possibly, hormones quite possibly.
I've never done any drugs. just a small bit of pot in high school.. didn't
like it preferred booze.
The closest answer I have come upon, itchy face nose, third eye area .. are
(what are named or called) tiny sub chakras (little energy buggers). Seems it
common to experience the "spider web" effect over the facial area, tiny
itches, or the feeling of ants crawling over the facial area(or full body),
after you get over or thru all that often times it then just centers above
the upper lip and nose, very exasperating
(a nice soak in the tub with plenty of moisturizer afterwards helps the
itches considerably(pre session), as many times they are full body. The
Itches seem to disappear altogether in a year or three. Some say exercise
before a session, but I tend to run after a session trying to sweat the
(inner)heat out, I tend to get that after high energy sessions)
When first practicing meditational states or altered states all sort of
seeming physical body phenomena, surface I guess, some would say energy
blocks/stops/ports.
All sort of etheric body weirdness occur. (floppy arms, 3 legs etc)
During altered state your aware of many bodies, depends how deep you go, all
sort of bodies can be doing all sort of weirdness at the same time. (then
again all that could be normal and just weird to me)
I've been zapped (mostly extremities), concussed, fallen out, slammed,
overlaid, inlaid, fried, frozen, passed thru radio and TV land (signals I
guess).. Had a persistent itching in the third eye area for about 6 weeks,
almost rubbed a bruise there after working many sessions on Glastonburry Tor
(that was triggered by one session IMO and a symbol, seal of Soloman or
Solomon.) (not into symbols, even tho I wanted to eat that one wholly .. it
was kinda wasted on me, the full impact or effect, but it did trigger
lingering in physical phenomena)
Anyway.. I have learned to drop quite deep in session and let all the various
bodies do their thing, with no or minimal effect on me, I'm not aware of the
physical body any longer, just a vague outline and it breathes but I don't. I
was once quite 'out' as a small cyclone blew over my home, wiped out all
potted plants and palm trees, nothing but a bedroom wall to separate me and I
didn't have a clue, just a vague awareness that there was some grumbling
thunderings going go and thought I'd suck in the energy.
all the best ~~Terri

This itching problem is a common problem for both the TMI binuaral
beat tapes as well as during rv. I've experienced it and yes, it is
quite maddening and itching is useless. It seems to be a certain
stage that one can eventually pass through and get mostly past. LIke
anything, there are misc theories as to why it happens. A common
theory is that it has to do with energy moving around the body in
ways that you are not used to.
