Hi PJ,
I recall Mel Riley was very quiet and unassuming. He seemed almost shy and
embarassed at the RV Conference I attended in Mesquite. He came over as a lovely
and gentle spiritual man. Several people attempted to get him to participate and
even join an RV list, but his shyness and reticence was obvious. Pity.

Moderator's note: Quiet and unassuming. And this guy is assumed to be a darn
good viewer, too. He must be a Replacement. LOL. Just kidding. Maybe he is
just very busy right now. I just don't want the list members to think I'm not
following up on who/what they're interested in, is all.... PJ

Hi Mary,
I was impressed at Mesquite with Mel. Just walking
into his aura was like entering a peaceful sancuary..
And I mean I stepped back out and in several times
just to acertain it. Quite a real effect. A rather
novel experience where the Ft Meade Viewers are
concerned ..G. BTW can you list for us the viewers
that were involved and are public and any code names
for non public ones you know?

PJ,
I suggest that you post what you have on Ed and keep after Mel. Maybe we
can get the questions to him before the holidays.
Warm Regards,
Don

Hi PJ,
I would like to see you post whatever you have received from Ed May now
and try again to see if Mel responds. If he doesn't respond, move on to
somebody else
and try for an interview with him at a later date.

Hi Pj;
I'm inclined to agree with Ken.
I was thinking about it, and it's probably getting busy for
everyone with the holidays. I'd like to read an interview
with Mel, and know more from Ed May, but it seems like
things might be stacking up, for both of them.
I think Ken has come up with the best alternatives.

Hi you guys,
Well this is the status of the RV Oasis interviews at this moment:
1. Dr. Edwin C. May has had his interview questions for quite a long
time. He began answering them, and tried to do them justice by
really explaining what he meant in every case, and before too long
felt overwhelmed and joked he could write a book with all this work.
I had him send me what he has done already (about 30% of it), and
told him to answer the rest at his leisure, that we are grateful for
his free participation and we'll just put the rest up when we get it.
Do you want me to post what has been done as a single interview, and
wait on the rest, as I was tentatively planning? Most of the
questions people contributed of course won't be in this first one as
the majority of them aren't.
2. Viewer Melvin Riley kindly agreed to do an interview with us and
showed interest in it. He sort of dropped out of communication, and
I followed up with him asking if we should wait till another time, or
do it by phone, and he said no, this was a good time, and let's
begin. So I talked with him about a brief informal bio of sorts --
which should be posted so people unfamiliar with him can get some
ideas about his professional and personal background and have a good
groundwork for questions to ask. He didn't respond to that though
nor a follow up email. I feel I'm having difficulty communicating
with him but I am not sure why. I don't know if I should keep
nagging him via email, or leave him alone and move on to somebody
else.
You guys drive the interviews... you let me know what you think.
Regards,
PJ

Hi PJ,
Please post what Edwin May already mentioned now. He
may never get to the rest..
Also, Mel Riley would be an extremely interesting
interview to me. Worth nagging a little IMO...G
Best Regards,
Bill

Good news. I had a couple talks with Mel Riley by phone today, and
will write up the 'intro' for him in the next day or so. You guys
will have about a week to come up with questions for him. He will do
the interview(s) by phone late Dec/early Jan and I will transcribe it
etc., as that's turned out to be easier for him. So, that's on!
Just as an update...
PJ

Hello PJ,
Well as you are the one doing all the work I'd let it be your call.
That said I'd like to see what you have now and the rest as it comes
in.
Thank you,
Gene Smith

Hi PJ,
I'd love to see what you have so far and then post the rest as it comes.
Out of all the people you could possibly interview in regards to RV I'm looking
forward to Mel Riley's interview the most. I say a little begging would be good.
LOL
Do you know if Mel Riley has written a book?
Cheers

Hi PJ,
I think it would be great to see what Ed has sent already. Better
a little than not at all.
Also about Mel, do you think it might help if we as individuals
sent him emails saying you mentioned he was asked to be the next
person interviewed and that we were looking forward to the
oppertunity of hearing from him? It might just help give him some
encouragement, knowing we really would like to hear what he has to
contribute.

Yes, PJ.....
My thoughts exactly. At first I thought it might seem we were
pressuring him, but I intended it to be a form of desire. So, I see
you got my drift, I would hope that he would take it as us caring for
and about him.I just got the impression from his email that he really
wanted to do it.
