The rooms have a copper grid you can turn on to shut out the signals and special paint to help block them.

A similar paint was discussed here a few years ago. I believe it was developed in Texas.

I stayed in a very old mansion many times that had brass lathing under the thick plaster walls. I suggest everyone should experience this at least once. The whole house was like a huge faraday cage. It was haunted as heck though, so I guess it didn't bother the entities.
