last evening i tried some meditation, nothing heavy just simple lie down/relax.i felll asleep.i was in my back yard at night time.i flew up over the trees.i didnt like it and stopped.went back, flew up again and headed towards the moon.the moon was getting bigger and that freaked me out because i knew that meant i was getting higher.
so,what was this?was it a vivid dream?was it as a result of lying on my back?it was very life like.. :-/

Sounds like a the remembered echoes of an OBE to me. Your energy body or `spirit` leaves your body every night when you are asleep and completes various activities in the astral realm, most of which we forget upon waking. Some we remember, hence our dreams.

In this case it seems to me that your pre-sleep meditation somehow `prepped` your mind for the experience and thus your consciousness was attuned to the point that you were able to experience and to a certain degree control your own exit from the physical (hence the fear, the vertigo).

I`m moving this to Projective Psi btw simply because this is what we`re talking about here...astral projection. Make a mental note to relax and enjoy the experience next time. Sounds like you were one step away from a fully-conscious OBE.

Marv :)

Greetings Goran!

The next time this happens, please post. There are a lot of us here that are curious about OBEs. Someone, I think it was Plodder, had a very interesting experience, something about being shot at but the bullets passed right thorough him.

Anybody remember?

Regards,

had a OBE on RV session 69757 I think but I too snapped out of it when I realized it. It was about the coolest session I've had and can't wait for that to happen again. Can you look at that and tell me if that was an OBE??? You sounded like you started to have a cool one. Go to the moon and tell us what u see;)

I had several of those dreams. I would not really classify them as OBEs. More like a lucid dream where you are partly awake and 'now' it is a dream.

In my understanding an OBE is something you feel the same awaked consciousness like if you were fully awake. And you are able then to control whats going on there and not anymore part of a dream state. But the differences are subtal and can't be completely measured. The same like with RV, you don't know really if what you wrote is right or wrong, only later with the Feedback you can make an analysis of the session.

Hey Goran-

I used to have those all the time as a kid, except the fear component was HUGE.

The slowly rising up is the beginning of an obe, which you are stopping from sheer will. If you can get past the fear component you will do great - good luck to you, Ive never been able to shake it.

Absolutely. I experienced this several times whilst practicing OBEs and yup I aborted several out of fear at the last moment. I mean, to have your whole body vibrating violently and then to feel yourself literally lifting up and free of your physical form...takes some nerve to hang on in there.

I`ve yet to pull off a conscious projection though I`ve had several come about via the sleep state recently. Either I wake up in exactly the right state to project or I lucid dream myself into the OBE state. As Katz rightly points out, you are every bit as conscious as in your waking state...fully aware that you are out of body, utterly aware that this is no dream.

I had a weird one last night, as it happens, having awoken at 5am and drifted back to sleep after 30 mins just lying there. I was remote viewing in my dreams lol (something like the Mission target set-up in which the feedback constituted a graph demonstrating an electron or some such particle having produced some weird anomalous result) when all of a sudden I became aware that I was lying in bed and that a figure was approaching me.

Somehow I knew that this figure was actually myself and so I lunged for it, grabbing it in a wrestling hold and merging with it completely. Next thing I know I`m in the OBE state in my bed (just feeling ready to project) at which I rolled slowly over on to my side, out of body and drifted to the floor. From here I did my usual OBE check; having climbed heavily to my feet, did a little jump and just hung there floating. Yup, out of body.

Then I blew it. Unable to see anything I affirmed my sight a few times before opening what I thought was my astral eyes...big mistake. Woke up back on my side in bed, cursing my stupidity.

It really is like learning to walk all over again. Couple of weeks ago I managed to buzz out of my body (via a dream) and fly around my bedroom before colliding comically with a wall.

Goran I`d encourage you to continue with your OBE efforts if you can...aside from affording a mindblowing new aspect to your reality it`s also great fun!

Marv  :)

PS Your neck vibrations would be down to you having activated your throat chakra. Nothing to worry about.

PPS Keith if you`d really OBEed during an RV session you`d know about it. As in you would no longer be sat at your desk/table etc...you`d be there. (Non)Physically, mentally, colour surround...THERE.

The most incredible thing happened over the weekend, as I was profoundly relaxed, just about ready to fall asleep.....I experienced "green" (sent to me by a friend). It wasn't just a color - it was an actual experience - lasting maybe a whole a minute (which seemed long). New and fresh, pure and happy. Just like shoots ! :D

I never really liked green much before, but now I've got a brand-new appreciation for it.

Now, I'm curious as to what all the other colors feel like!

Marv, this was the session and I did feel like I wasd sucked into the scene. I've been hoping for that again This is what I saw:

Incase you can't read my writing, it says hard edges. surface to place something on. also saw a horizon/ maybe some rocks behind me. Felt like a big lid. some stone feel. seemed to branch out. Felt like walking stones. aols in upper right were pond cemetary, mummy, tree, patio. moist ground mossy, misty or feel of moisture. seemed like a mountain shore of river close by. valley near target. felt like elements of manmade tructure. place of honor and acknowledgement. aol triangular roof all the time. felt stone, maybe concrete. wings? Got my wings? Flying new way to see perspective, like butterflys felt like I was flying and able to turn up high in different directions in the either. I saw something in the distance, felt like in the trees. I reached out to it with my mind and flew there, felt like puff or poof weird and that snapped me out of it. was like a flash or glint of light in the distance.

I heard the words that I got my wings then I was up in the air flying towards light in the trees but when I felt the poof i snapped out of it. Does that sound like I snapped into an OBE???

You tell me keith, you were there! Sounds pretty intense. :)

Goran are you sure that this forum is for you? So far all I`ve seen you do is ask questions about various subjects and then question the `reality` of these phenomenon when someone attempts to explain them to you.

Is RV real? Are chakras real? Are OBEs real? Is real real? Are you real?

Where next, you ask. How's about the moon...I believe we started this whole thread with an account of you flying there. Was that real?

Marv :p

Fair enough. Why not expand a little more on your own experiences and beliefs? Have you tried remote viewing yet? What experiences do you have with meditation, OBEs etc

Don`t get me wrong, it`s always great to communicate with other people on these topics...it`s just there`s only so much one respond to single sentences along the lines of `is _____ real? etc`

Ultimately you need to make these discoveries (or not) for yourself. Do a little reading; experiment. What has been your understanding of OBEs up until now?

Don`t get me wrong; I`m no pro when it comes to any of this! I`m still wandering starry eyed and smiling from each new cool experience to the next...

Marv :)

Yes they are. I've been given cues relating to chakras before, they are a good indicator of which section of the body to monitor. However if even just one of your chakras is not balanced or not working the entire chakra system will be considered broken.
You've never experienced that tingling sparkling sensation of the crown chakra?
For example if you have an bad back that does not allow you to sit up straight or even get into a simple lotus position, like a circuit board all the circuits have to connect for it to work.
