Premonitions Lite

I've been having some very prophetic dreams over the past few weeks since I started trying more intently to have a lucid dream.
I had one Friday night where I was fishing with some friends and we weren't having much luck and I decided to climb a tree to see if I could see where the fish were. I spotted some fish and instructed my friends where to cast thier lines.
Saturday we were on a trip out of town and ran out of things to do and I found myself watching people fishing for trout below the dam at Beaver lake. I was thinking "if I could get above the reflection on the water, I'll bet I could see these fish". It wasn't until I was climbing the hillside that I remembered my dream.

Great topic... ;D...I also have them every now and again. I had my first one about 10 years and I thought I had gone completely crazy! One night, I was out with my family listening/watching to a band play, when *boom* these images and sounds started coming to me. In the vision, I saw a woman with two maybe three children walking up to our house. The children were asking her "Oh, is this okay to go into their house?" And the woman responded with "It's getting dark, we'll just go inside and wait for them." I see her open our front door and our cat races out the door. The children yell "The cat got out!" I see the cat sprinting away and I feel the cat's emotions as something along the lines of "Woo-hoo! Freedom!" (Not in those words, but the general feeling).

::) Well, naturally, I thought I had gone completely crazy. But it seemed so real. I thought about it all the way home from the concert...but couldn't figure out how it could possiblily be anything that could really happen. Imagine my surprise when we arrived home to find a strange car in our driveway. My father's ex-wife and her two children (my half siblings) dropped by from out-of-state for a *surprise* visit. They had waited for us for a while in the car, but then when it got dark and so, they had let themselves into our house (we kept the door unlocked in those days)...and they accidently let the cat out when they opened the door...happened just like my vision...

:p Of course, at the time I chalked it up to a 'strange unexplainable random thing'....but since then every now and again I would have another one. They are *always* accurate...Just wish I had a little more control over them...Lately I've been trying to learn how to induce them and/or premonitions in dreams. Closest I've come is by listening to one of those theta cds. I've had some 'mini' premonitions doing that...

I was looking for a thread for posting premonitions/precogs/and what-have-you and this is what I found. If there is another thread for these somewhere, I would appreciate the info.

On 4/14/14, I had a very brief glimpse of what might be a mid-air collision. I seemed to be in the *zone* but it was not targeted...it just came...and only lasted a couple of seconds.

There was a large plane and I saw a smaller flying object which looked like a much smaller plane come up from beneath it under the right wing. The smaller object seemed to clip it, but due to the angle from which I was seeing it, I cannot be certain. I seemed to be on the opposite side of the larger plane and slightly above, so the wing partially blocked the view. The larger plane appeared to be maybe three times the size of the smaller object.

I haven't heard of anyone reporting anything like this, but everyone always says to post somewhere if you see something, so here it is. :)

Janine,

Thanks for posting this. It will be interesting to see if this event happens. (Though I hope not--one major air disaster a year is too many!)

Can you put this into perspective? Have you experienced premonitions before?

Yes, I have had precognitive events sporadically throughout my life...but they are usually personal, having to do with something related to myself; so this was different in that respect... I usually just have a vision where everything else blacks out and a sort of movie goes off in front of my eyes, or once in a while a precognitive dream. This time I was in a very relaxed state and this just sort of popped up out of the blue. It might be nothing at all. It was very brief and not related to anything I had been thinking about at the time, so I thought it might be worth reporting.

Okay, it appears that the incident of the drone nearly colliding with the passenger jet which was reported on the news yesterday was the incident I saw. The passenger plane looks the same...same side...big size difference in the smaller plane/object that looked like it was going to collide. The problem: If this incident actually happened on March 22nd and I didn't view it until April 14th or thereabouts (it was first reported by the WSJ on May 7th as near as I can tell), it was not exactly a premonition. What do you call seeing something from the past? Useless? A re-run? LOL

Yes--I was being facetious. What puzzles me is why it took them so long to report this. The article said that the pilot announced it at a drone meeting the Thursday before the article. With drones being a perfect weapon for terrorism, why wasn't there more of a fuss kicked up over this and why did it take them so long to report it to the media?

Janine:

Actually, your premonition was about the reporting of the event, rather than the event itself. That was the feedback you received--you were not at the actual near-collision. This phenomenon was described in J. W. Dunne's book, An Experiment with Time (see the Amazon entry at: http://tinyurl.com/llnpoqm . In his book, he describes having a precognitive dream about a volcano eruption. He even dreamt about the number of victims, perceiving it to be 4,000. Several days later, he read about the actual eruption in the newspaper and learned that the death-toll was 40,000 (http://www.professorsolomon.com/timeexperiment.html ).

I don't doubt that that sometimes happens, but how could I be certain whether I was seeing the event or seeing the feedback? It was very brief... The feedback I saw on the news was a simulation from a forward facing location; my position during the actual visual was above and a bit to the other side... (Sorry it took so long to respond--I've been out-of-state for a while.)

Thanks for the info on Dunne's book--it looks very interesting.

It would appear that you likely glimpsed the event itself. In the RV field it is my experience that you can cue for the viewer to view either the feedback or the actual event. With spontaneous Psi I think the event itself would be the more likely thing to just jump out at you.

Okay, thanks--I rather thought that was what must have happened. The news reported it belatedly and then jumped off the story again. Maybe because it was a near miss instead of a hit--and I suspect that they don't want to dwell too much on something that could be a real game changer for terrorists.

I am a bit amazed that it actually happened. That was the first time I have ever tried to report a precognitive experience and I wasn't too sure about it due to the way it came.

So, I wonder if this means that we might find a way to use being in the *zone* to catch and report upcoming events?

Had kind of a double premonitions morning less than two weeks ago. Was traveling home in the morning after working the night shift...not once, but twice on the same road...a vehicle ran a red light at high speed and would have hit me if not for some kind of hard to explain sudden premonition, like a tingle that made me slow down and stop and be aware even though I had a green light. Twice. On the same road. But at different traffic lights. Then later on that day, I won $500 on the Cash 3 Georgia lottery.

Those are useful kinds of premonition...keeping you out of danger. I have had a couple of premonitions while on the road that helped me narrowly avert tragedy...and they would have been serious as I was traveling at speed both times. I wonder if it has to do with the driving being so routine that one finds oneself on auto-pilot with their minds free to wander...?

Did you have a premonition about the numbers in the Cash 3?

My mom gets intuitions regularly. she gets a "feel" that now it is a good time to play jackpot, lottery, or to buy a scratch off.

Usually, she plays like a euro and wins a few. it might be 20 euro but mostly just small winnings.

on my birthday, she bought two tickets for me. one won 1 euro and another one 30 euro.

A few days ago, she got one of those feelings again.

she played lottery and purchased a scratch off.

the lottery was 3 numbers and one additional correct (no win but close). the scratch off win was 200 euro.

Go intuitive moms!

I had a premonition last night. I was falling asleep at my desk and then I seemed to be in a store looking at tall shelves of things and hearing music in my head. A police officer came up to me and gestured with his head for me to come with him down the aisle. Immediately, I had the very strong premonition that something very bad had happened...(you know how it is when a policeman comes to get you and wants to speak with you privately...you fear the worst! Maybe this is my mind's way of symbolizing bad news...)

I stopped and said "No...no...no...no. I can't do this again!" and felt a wall of dread rising up over me, encompassing me, smothering me.

He was looking at me, nodding as if sympathetic, but still waiting for me to come with him. I had all sorts of thoughts running through my head...like, "Was my family okay? How did the officer find me?" "Could it be something to do with my car?" (which I discarded as this felt much more serious) It felt like a very heavy premonition of bad news. *:( sad

It woke me up completely. I immediately wrote down what I remembered and sent an email to my family to see if they were okay. I heard from one of them last night and from another this morning. All fine.

I heard about Egyptian Air this morning while reading the news online, but my premonition/dream took place last night at 9:22 p.m. central time-- hours before that plane would have crashed. Other than the policeman and the heavy feeling of dread, there was nothing to indicate what it was about.

Well here’s a lite one for the books then. You might expect to see Mr. Christie replacing Mr. Trump once he has been “removed”. At what point this will happen I’m not positive, but not unlike Mr. Kennedy he’s scaring too many people in power that are finding him to be uncontrollable.

I know exactly how you feel. I am chased by strange unpleasant dreams from time to time too. I have no understanding of them and I do not even try. The last one ( the night before) was so blatantly clear and awful as if it was teasing me because of my total helplessness and lack of control. I can only hope it was NOT a premonition. I have ordered The Tibetan Yogas of Dream and Sleep yesterday in my despair and hope that maybe meditation is the key.I would like to get some control over them. Ironically in the past when trying to use a method of looking at my hands to get lucid I had series of comical dreams hanging over the abyss and grasping in my hands some grass straws, part of the asphalt road etc. I could clearly see my hands but unfortunately it did not help my lucidity and control.
I could talk and talk about strangeness of my dreams. There are situations when I am pulling one dream from another I mean the details I recollect trigger details from another dream which trigger details from another dream. This way I can really make a long chain of past dreams somehow connected just like that. I can even recognize places from my dreams, landscapes, fragments of cities, streets , squares, underground passage, public toilets(!).This is not because I am familiar with them in my normal life, they are all from my dreams. Awful. Sometimes I am not sure, maybe I do astral travel to some very low planes when I have these bad dreams as the light is dim, everything is obscure and ugly. These dreams are always unpleasant and I occasionally meet horrible individuals in them. Fortunately there are also good, beautiful ones I don't want to wake up from.

Gene: I read yesterday that Christie's approval ratings were at an all-time low...if that means anything, which it probably doesn't.

Solaris: That sounds like an interesting book. You might let us know if it helps and maybe even post a comment on it after you have read it. I would be interested...

Sorry you are having such a rough time lately.
