When the field hits zero it might be a good time for an RV experiment, if it could be timed correctly.

If the aim of the rv project is to determine yet again climate changes coinciding with Solar activity
then its not really going to prove anything we don't know already. Everyone (with their heads screwed on the right way) already know climate change is a reality. No need to RV the obvious ;)

I think it is fair game as an RV project. With the potential of solar storms it would be beneficial to narrow the window to prevent as much electronic damage as possible or at least to have more crews on standby when it does happen.

I caught the gist of the other jib. What used to be 'global warming' has now been down graded to a more palatable 'climate change' which is an even more nebulous term used to by politicians to tax the farmers for cow farts or the moronic carbon tax. Nobody can disclaim 'climate change' because it is changing all the time everywhere for all eternity. But to equate it with 'global warming' attributed to mankind is overly optimistic and egotistic purely for the purposes of illegal taxation and of course 'global warming' is total BS. I have seen emails from both sets of the ClimateGate Scandal, those so called scientists were totally fraudulent and admitted lying to the public and performing character assassinations on honest scientists, going into great detail EXACTLY how they were going to mislead the public. It is all there for anyone who can read comprehend English.

But yeah, would be nice to know when to wear sunscreen.

I believe some people have postulated that solar activity can have effects on RV. If someone timed their RV to occur when the field goes to zero, I wondered if it would result in some higher quality sessions. If that was a the case, then finding a way to better shield solar activity might improve RV. I wasn't referring to "climate change". I tend to agree with Mycroft's statements on the matter. Climate has never been static, it has always changed.

Tells you all you need to know and all done in protocol.

If Joe says the polar caps will disappear within 50 years I wouldnt bet against it.

Global warming, climate change etc ... makes no difference what we call it. The problem as I see it and its just my opinion by the way, is we have screwed up. Time is up.
We just have to live with the consequences of the damage we have already done and continue to do.

Yeah, he also said by 2008 we would be wearing Star trek jumpsuits.

But I never said the climate wasn't changing. I would be shocked if it wasn't changing. It has always fluctuated. It has been warming for thousands of years. I'm not sure why a bunch of politicians thinks that just because humans have become the dominant species that the climate should have stopped changing and stayed the same for the first time in the history of the planet.

Oh no, don't count me in on this. Compared to volcanic activity and the wiles of the sun my whole life's 'carbon footprint' would not even register. If you want to blame yourself for the cycles of nature have at it. Like I said to say that humans have impacted nature to the degree they are giving themselves credit is as egotistical as saying we are the only race in the universe 'look what we have done!'.

To believe this is total fallacy, great civilizations with far better technology than the present have been on earth several times, eons before recorded history. I'm beyond the kiddie stories. The "We" don't include me, so leave me out of your guilt trip over something that is purely nature doing it's thing!
