Hi all, (Warning: Another 'Longie' ;-? )? ),
I had an interesting little experience this morning that led me off to
thinking about a couple of other things. Some of you may have had similar
thoughts, and if so I'd love to compare notes.
I was in the bathroom, the shower was still running, but I had just got out
and I was absorbed in my own thoughts while towelling my hair, when all of a
sudden I thought I heard my husband call out "I'm coming!". The sound of his
voice was unclear though as it was mixed up in the sound of the shower and
noises close to my ears where I was starting to rub my hair dry. I thought
there may have been someone calling at the front door at first and he was
yelling to them, but I wasn't really sure what was going on, so I yelled
back loudly "Eeeeeehhh???" (as you do :-? ).
Well, next thing, my husband, whose name is Dave, yelled out, unmistakably
this time, "I'm coming!!", and the next second opened the door and asked me
what I wanted. After some confusion it turned out that he hadn't called
before, and was now only responding to me calling him in an urgent way (he'd
thought my "Eeeehhh??" sounded like "Daaave!!"? ).
Interesting!. Anyway I then got to thinking, and with the benefit of having
practiced RV for a while, I began to recognise it as having come from
'inside my head', and I appeared to have 'heard' Dave's voice before it
actually happened; which caused me to yell out, which caused him to yell
out.....etc.
Anyhow....I then got to thinking about why that should have happened just at
that particular time, and it came to me in a flash that maybe I could know
what may have helped. My conscious mind was distracted, not only by me
thinking of other things or being in a relaxed, maybe slightly altered state
(after a nice warm shower? ), but also....the noise may have contributed.
To explain what I mean... When I was young (quite a few years ago ;-? )? ),
cars were a lot noisier, and unlike today you couldn't really hold a good
conversation while travelling. I'd sit in the back when dragged off
'visiting' by my parents, and to make time pass I used to 'listen' for
voices and music in the sound of the car/wind etc. I got so good at it in
fact that I could think of a song, set it going inside my head and then let
go 'control' and 'let' the music continue on for a bit in the noise. Now
that may not make a lot of sense to anyone who's never done that, but anyway
it did work, and believe it or not, I once had a full orchestra
playing..:-? )? ). It was a 'special' noise I needed though, and it didn't
always occur. I never ever thought of it in any way other than a game; until
this morning.
Maybe some kinds of noise can assist with 'communication' from the sub. Not
so much the boring 'white noise' like a de-tuned radio, but the sort of
mixed-up 'special' sort of sound (which I can't fully describe? ) with a
slight rhythm to it, that I may have been hearing this morning and in the
car when I was a kid. Trouble is, I can't reproduce that particular sound,
because I just don't know what is involved.
Just an idea which I will keep in mind for the future and let you know if I
can reproduce that certain sound. Thought I'd post this in case anyone is
interested....or may even have experienced that sort of thing themselves, or
know of any research in this direction.
Kind regards,
Glyn

I have found that to happen occasionally, but it does not appear to
happen because of any particular noise but more because my mind is
busy with some kind of lowlevel and boring thought. For instance,
doing dishes, taking a shower, driving, working outside, etc.
Another good time is when I'm half awake in the morning. Any kind of
busy work seems to do it as long as I'm not thinking hard about
anything else at the time. I think that on occasion, such an
environment lets me drop momentarily into a somewhat altered state
without really noticing it.
On occasion, I find that I can get it verified, like I might hear
someone call me and then find out that they were thinking of calling
me or that they needed me for something, but hadn't yet acted on it.
A few other times, I thought a person had said something to me and I
answered it only to find out they were only thinking it. At such
times, they seem to be a bit freaked out, perhaps wondering if they
had somehow whispered it involuntarily and without noticing it. At
such times, I invariably mistake the psychic words as just ordinary
spoken words, but as you have said, after I notice that something
doesn't jive, I can usually then go back over the incident in my mind
and realize that there was something just a little bit strange about
how the words were processed in my head that tips me off as to what
really happened.

Yes, and have you noticed that since you've been doing RV that it is
becoming easier to do that? Like you I've always had odd little things like
that happen now and again, but I notice more recently that I have sometimes
been able to recognise the 'feel' of psi perception; even if not in detail
and maybe only just on looking back...but that it has happened. That's not
always the case by any means, but definitely more often than before.
I often get frustrated at just not getting any better at RV even though
I've been doing sessions for some years now, but if the above is true, then
even though
I may not get better at obtaining more data, maybe I might be able to one
day start to tell the wheat from the chaff, so I can make more sense of what
I do get. So I'll just 'chin-up' and keep on practicing I guess. :-? )? ).
Anyone else noticed that after some time doing RV?

Glyn

Hi Glyn,
Before I start on this story you need to know that I live out in the country on
a quite road that doesn't have much traffic. It is very easy to hear when a
visitor turns up.
I quite often will hear a car that I recognize pull into our driveway. I will go
out to welcome the visitors only to find that no one is there. Everytime this
happens the people who I thought had driven in will turn up but about 5 minutes
later.
Once I even saw the headlights of my husbands car as well as heard it pull into
the driveway. I waited a few minutes for him to come in and when no one appeared
I went to investigate. He wasn't there, but as usual, 5 minutes or so later he
drove in.
I still can't discern any difference between that type of experience and the
physical, although I must admit it has never occured to me to try. Next time it
happens I will observe it closer and see if I notice any difference.
Cheers

Hi Liz,
Those are strong experiences..I can see it would be a bit annoying though.
LOL!
Yes, it would be really interesting to know if you can 'feel' any
difference.
Cheers,
Glyn
