Hi folks,
I just finished reading an article from Mr. Swann's website
regarding "teasing out 7 layers of meaning" from RV info. He states
that he process is commonly used with great success, but I have not
read anything on the process itself, and he doesn't go into that in
his essay.
Can anyone discuss or point to a previous discussion of this
process? I notice the "objects" I RV often have many characteristics
of the target, but are not "the target" such as the Hella Hammid
example he uses as an example. I get the feeling my accuracy will
improve, but is there some method of teasing out the layers of
meaning?
Thanks for any information anyone can provide.

Hi----
I don't claim to know and this is just a guess, but I wonder if Ingo is making a
reference to different 'senses' ?
sight, sound, touch, taste, smell, remote influence, and intuition.

Barb

Hello Barbara
I heard his speech and he said everything we receive comes in
layers. The aperture that can pick up the most layers can also pick
up the most information. He also said that we had a lot more senses
than the ones everyone knows about.

I like the LAYERS idea.. does he give hints (or can
you) in peeling the layers...or becoming aware of them
better?
Best Regards,
Bill

Hi Bill
I think he has a set of three books upon Power. I know Viv bought
the set of them. Hello Viv-are you out there? I don't remember the
titles.

Thanks Barb,
I appreciate your insight.
I get the feeling from the context of his comment (which I left out),
that he is referencing some process of pulling out the "meaning" of
RV'd material. Here's my beginner's understanding of what he is
talking about. I hope more experienced RVers will correct my
confusions.
The ego driven "conscious" mind makes sense of the world by clumping
traits together into "things". That clump of traits is a chair, that
clump of things is photosynthesis, that clump of things is a
magazine. Each of these things is defined by us as part of our world
by their "meaning", by their clump of traits. All these "things"
that make up our world exist in their relation to each other
through "meanings". We percieve tons of info, but we ignore the
traits that don't relate to our network, or grid, of meaning.
In this way, we make sense of what we perceive because it all relates
to the rest of what we perceive. Unfortunately, a lot slips through
the internetworking of meaning because it doesn't get snagged by
traits we relate to reality.
The subconscious mind has immediate access to all information.
Unfortunately, the conscious mind and the subconscious mind don't
really speak the same language. Stuff does arise from the
subconscious mind and sometimes gets caught in the web of meaning the
conscious mind uses to think. When this happens, RV happens.
The beginning part of RV is helped if somehow the two layers of mind
can speak the same language. The ideogram is a clump of info the
subconscious sends the conscious mind, but that clump of traits may
only latch onto some obscure trait from another concept the conscious
mind uses. Its like when two people who speak different languages
and try to talk, they struggle to find some object or gesture they
share, and build upon that little bit of shared info to understand
each other. Or like two tables in a database that cannot be used
together until they have some trait in common that links the two,
then the rest of the info can fall into place. I think this is what
Mr. Swann is talking about when he mentions "teasing out the 7 layers
of meaning". You take the ball of traits the subconscious gives you,
then you break it down and try to find out what traits fit and make
sense to your conscious mind. Maybe if you get a handful of clumps
from the subconscious, you can pull out enough traits to find a
related meaning in your conscious mind.
This is of course just part of the picture, but I've gone on long
enough for now. Is this what he is talking about? And what about
the seven layers? Is there some documented method for associating
traits between subconscious and conscious meaning? I've gone back
and started reading the archives of earlier boards, but sheeeesh,
there is a lot to read......
Thanks for any feedback anyone can provide.

Aloha Bill,
What about the seven chackras?...(some say there are more)
and my tarot cards speak of the seven bodies of a human...
they are in ascending order...
the emotional body, the astral body, the physical body which includes
here
the etheric body, the energy body, the mental body...the spiritual
body...and
the divine body...
Maybe he likes the DEVA Tarot?...

Hi Dawna,
My experience with Rob indicates that there are many
many more chackras than 7 ..although 7 major ones that
are frequently discussed in eastern
religions/philosophy. Actually they are associated
with every single joint and organ in the body.. Rob
counts something like 253 of them. I'm sure I could
find 50 or 60 myself. However, I don't remember
bringing this up..in reference to Ingos essays. I
havn't read those yet...G. Perhaps I forgot to change
the topic.
Best Wishes,
Bill
