Amazingly enough, a couple more applicants actually bothered sending
me email response to the pjrv requirements, so I approved them. I
have dropped the registration requests of probably about 25 people in
the last 2 months because they didn't bother to send me the email
requested. I wonder if they take it personally. Is it really that
unreasonable to ask for an intro email I wonder? Anyway, I am way
overdue on going through the list and parsing, but I'm bringing my
stout heart back around for another massive archiving effort, and
I'll be a little more active here again soon. (I apologize. I know
it's kind of rude of me to start a list and even start a specific
discussion and then just abandon it all.) So if you haven't posted
here on the list in 90 days, post something so you won't end up on
the drop list ok. Thanks. PJ

Hi PJ,
I haven't done a lot of RVing lately, but it's because I've been taking
McMoneagle's advise -- tuning up my meditation skills. I was introduced to
remote viewing as a result of telling a couple of people about several
interesting things that would happen occasionally during prolonged
meditation. But when I started experimenting with with RV, I was using lots
of the time that I previously dedicated to meditation, so I ended up not
doing nearly as much meditation as before. When I first started reading
about RV I thought to myself that people should become somewhat proficient
at meditation first, then involve themselves with RV, but when I mentioned
that on the lists most people didn't think it made too much sense. When I
read a quote from McMoneagle that said essentially the same thing, I thought
that I had better follow what I knew intuitively was right for me. Whether
I've been doing much RV lately or not, I suppose I should buy Mind Trek and
join in the conversation when it gets going again.

Hi Dave,
How's the meditating going? Has anything interesting happened? Had any more
OBE's?
I've had to do all my learning via dreams 'cos that's the only time I'm free
at the moment. LOL
I've had a couple of dreams lately where something that feels like pure evil
is trying to get in. Once it was in the form of a man trying to get in my house
and in another dream it felt like a knot of evil without any form. I don't know
what it is and haven't found a method to deal with it yet. My usual bold bravado
has no effect and I end up running away in a panic.
The last time I had it I decided it wasn't evil it was just fear, and my fear.
So next time it will be interesting to see if I can face it.
Cheers
Liz

Moderator's note: Seth once said that illness, including contagious sorts, are
not merely transference of germs--everyone always has germs and 'latent
potential' for illness--but rather, that what is contagious is an IDEA. This
got me to thinking about how if all energy is consciousness, it is not that
crazy to think of a 'germ' as a teeny-tiny-little identity. This reminded me
that way-back-when, people thought of illness as being invaded by a host of tiny
demons which might for example be in the blood. (And demon being the word for
'messenger' originally if you recall.) So then, dreams that might have a
physiological--and yet, metaphysical also--base, such as fighting off an illness
being a parallel to (or even literal of) fighting off a psychic attack. Sort
of. I'm not sure where I'm going with this but I hope you get the idea. PJ

Hi Liz,

Very good. It took a couple of weeks of meditating daily to really get back
in the swing of things. Regarding OBE's, I haven't had a complete one, but
I think I've started to have a couple more. Both of them were just like the
one I told you about before - they just lasted a few seconds each. I've
had several lucid dreams the last couple of weeks though, and I guess that's
the next best thing. They can be very cool.

Hi David,
Meditation is how I started out also, it led me to RV as well. I find
that when I get into a RV slump, if I just meditate with no specific goal for
a week or so, it helps a lot.
I bought Mind Trek a few weeks back, and I am almost finished with it.
Some of his experiences he writes about in the book, are similar to things
I've experienced and wondered about, so I'm enjoying his insight.

Hi Palyne,
I don't log on much,,,,,,not at all in a long time,,,,,so I feel "lucky" I
check pjrv today and discovered your request for folk who havn't been active
to post.
I haven't remote viewed for a long time either. I did however have an
interesting PSI experience just last week. I had been "drafted" to serve in
my command's OP Cntr. It was a night shift and a Sunday to boot (actually,
Mother's day). It was very slow, lonely and quiet duty,,,,,and eventually I
found a deck of playing cards in a desk drawer (I was looking for something
to eat).
I shuffled the deck many many times, laid the entire deck face down in a
single pile in front of me. I closed my eyes and concentrated on what the
first draw would be from the top of the deck.
First I "saw" in my mind's eye, the pattern of symbols and decided the card
was a ten. Next I seemed to sense the symbols were black, and soon decided
they were clubs. I felt satisfied. I opened my eyes and flipped the card,
the ten of clubs.
I tried the same thing a second and a third time and failed both times,,,,and
then quit,,,,played a little solitare.
Damn, if I could only repeat,,,,,I'd have it made! Hope you are well my
friend.
J
---------------------
Doing good, and glad you chanced in here. ;-) In a group setting, I guessed the
suit+number out of 52/51 for the first two cards drawn from a shuffled deck.
Then when everybody looked at me in astonishment, I got all self conscious about
it. I sensed the next one was an 8 but no longer felt sure (mostly ego-neurotic
LOL!). So I shrugged, refused to answer and left the room. It was an 8 I saw
as I left. But I didn't know the suit. For some reason the cards thing is
sometimes easy briefly but then our brain gets a clue what's going on and it's
all over. ;-) PJ

I may be quiet, but I'm still interested. There are some fascinating threads
at the moment.
We've been looking at the changes to Earth energies around Beltane. You can
feel the Earth waking up. Does this effect RV? If it it does, does it make
it easier or harder? For me it seems easier to go and look somewhere else,
but that could be for any number of reasons unconnected with the Sun's
position. One could be that the 'veil' is very thin in many places around
here, which may make travelling easier.
Does the underlying structure of the earth make any difference to RVing?
Some people find granite so 'zingy' it's uncomfortable, with clay and chalk
much pleasanter. Others will revel in the clarity granite can bring. Perhaps
we are all born to our own kind of landscape.
Thoughts on any of the above are more than welcome.

Well Chris,
The only things that has been documented
scientifically are that when the solar wind is high RV
becomes more difficult, and when the center of the
milky way is overhead RV becomes more difficult, when
it is on the (eastern?) horizon it becomes easier (
search Spottiswood and RV or "sidereal time" effect
and RV). Nothing documented about seasons.
Bill
----------------------------
Moderator's note: If 'more difficult' is understood to mean, 'measured scores of
accuracy were lower', that's okay. The phrase used makes it sound like it's
just physically harder in some way. It isn't to my knowledge more or less
difficult at different times; it is just, as an overall average, clearly more or
less accurate at different times. (If we knew by difficulty when we were
accurate, this whole process would be a lot more pain free. ;-)) PJ

Hi Bill and PJ
I've stuck a heading on this reply for the sake of easy tracking. For any
reading this first, Bill and PJ are answering my list biz response of
Tuesday 13th
This is where things get interesting. Bill's research tells that the
strength of the solar wind and position of the Milky Way has an effect on
the relative ease, or difficulty of RVing. On the other hand PJ mentions
accuracy and questions the use of a 'physical' measure.
My question was asking about the 'physical'. The effort required to reach a
site. Which probably shows up my relative ignorance of what you guys call
RV, where accuracy is clearly of great importance. I tend to see places and
things as if part of me is somewhere else and sending a picture back. It's a
bit hit and miss, I probably don't do do it often enough for it not to be,
but at times there is a definite feeling of a 'physical' journey and
arrival. After arriving I can then look around and see what I want to see.
It is this process that seems easier at the moment, unless I'm simply
getting more used to it. Or completely off my trolley! (Always a
possibility)
Bill's research would seem to argue that things do have a physical effect.
In his case the cause is external to the planet. Which is one of the
questions on the way to be answered, or maybe actually answered. The other
is can the earth's energies have a similar effect? I would guess they can,
and do.
This thread may go no further than this, if that's the case thanks Bill and
PJ, though it would be interesting to take it a bit further. If nothing else
it would probably improve my understanding of RVing.
Best to all
Chris
----------------------------
Moderator's note: Bill was referring to research from Spottiswoode et al, not
his own. (See www.jsasoc.com library.) As for targets being more or less
difficult to make contact with in a LITERAL sense, I don't know an answer to
that; I do know that RV is so profoundly psychologically based that this is
probably not something that can be easily addressed the same for everybody.
Research by May et al on Shannon Entropy paper infers there are intrinsic
qualities in targets that may make them more or less likely to be 'acquired' in
target-contact by a viewer. I dispute the assumptions found in that paper, as
they measured feedback, and they provided viewers feedback, and no controls
contrary to that, so in my opinion they really cannot say whether they measured
an intrinsic target property or a feedback property or the *effect of feedback
upon the viewers* as its own property. Still that addresses your Q somewhat.
The personal importance the target has to the viewer, and the impact of feedback
upon the viewer, these are profound areas of importance, and this is even clear
in the more subtle question of how the viewer thinks about daily practice, their
ability to find interest even in mundane targets for the process, what
importance they place on it and so forth.
Personal hands-on experience with an element in or the overall nature of the
target seems (this is an experiential note, not research) to have a lot to do
with the acquisition of data about it and some of the details. It may be that
hands-on experience gives our brains a better database for comparing.
Regards,
PJ

Hi Chris,
First that is not my research. It was done by a number
of top paranormal scientists. Below are three websites
for Spottiswoods and May, also please check Dean
Radin's site.
Re physical effects: Since all these scientists feel
psi is not do to a physical transfer or physical
radiation, they believe all these effects act on some
part of the BRAIN responsible for picking up psi,
since the brain is electrochemical in nature as well
as tuned into psi "whatever".
As far as your images being foggy etc. That is how it
always is. RV tries to provide a structure that helps
organize the output..but usually it's still foggy.

Hi Pj and the list
Rather than making extra work for you when purging I think it would be
better if you drop me from the list. I know I have only really been
lurking but I've been enjoying the threads but I don't think that is
fair to the list. Right now I'm studying hard to become a professionally
qualified web master but I'm doing it on the evenings as well as working
in the day so for the next 8-10 months I'm going to be totally focused
on that which means that I wouldn't have time to contribute to the list
or even keep up with the threads.
I would like to thank you, and everyone, for many months of very
interesting posts and hope to come back towards the end of the year once
all my study and exams are out of the way and I can begin to contribute
better.
Take care and I'll see you all again soon.ish :-)

Hi Bill and the list
Well Bill, if PJ and everyone here is happy for me to stay on even if I
can't contribute for a while then I'd love to. I just felt guilty for
being here and not being able to contribute. While I'm having a break
from studying and design I can give a quick bit about me.
At the moment I'm working as an Electronics Engineer but I've grown very
bored with electronics because unless you're totally on the cutting edge
of things, there's just no creativity in the field. Now I've been
interested in doing the odd page or two in HTML so I've begun studying
for my CIW qualification to become a Web Master which will allow me to
expand my creative side. Working right now in the electronics industry
forces you to think logically and so dullens the psychic side of my
brain. I know that when I allow my creative side to open, so does
psychic "happenings" whether it being things like finishing friends
sentences while speaking or "knowing" a car was going to run a red light
so stopping and saving me and the car. I also "know" if a spirit is
around but I haven't yet got the ability to converse (except for one
occasion when I think I spoke with my guide, a little girl called Mary
who physically died in 1856 in a fire. Now that was an amazing
experience).
RV side of things, I've been seriously interested in the subject since
reading Joe McMoneagle's Mind Trek book a few years ago. Since then I've
had "nibbles" at RV but never been able to really develop. That is
something I want to do once my Web Master course is complete in around
6-7 months time. It would definitely be nice to stay on the list because
I firmly believe that reading more and more helps to "train" your
sub-conscious mind to accept the ability and therefore allowing the
"gift" to come to the fore.
Well, that's me then. Thanks again Bill. Back to some design on a site I
have to do.
Take care
Darren

Moderator's note: You're welcome to stay Darren, post once every few months and
I am cool with it. I don't have much in the way of demands--it's simply that I
want the list to stay reasonably small and for the most the people to know who
the others are... I feel it improves conversation and sharing.
Oh, and some humor! Your optimism is charming. :-) Webmastering gets more time
intensive, not less. Merely keeping up with changes in existing s/w requires
nearly a full time job of time of learning in addition to one's actual job.
You'll find webmastering is pretty ludicrously time consuming as a job. (Having
done it since '95, I know.)
You might want to invest in stock for caffeinated colas, delivery pizza chains,
4" software book publishers, PayPal, and other vendors you'll spend the rest of
your career supporting. ;-) And make friends with groups like evolt.org. :-) PJ

Hi Darren,
Sounds like you would be a good CRV person. Lyn loves
to get engineers and scientists and teach them his
system. He says they usually do very well at it. There
is a logic to RV also.. having to do with recognizing
the signal and sorting out stray cats.. and learning
to recognize when you are analyzing or imagining..as
uppposed to when something is "signal line" info.
Good Luck,
Bill
