Hello, dear ones,
It's November the 2nd and I have seen a few things in a different way since
the earthquake in Italy. I live in Texas. The day of the earthquake, I was
shot... I couldn't concentrate, my speech patterns and ability to communicate
were wiped out. I guess some days we just pick up on things all over the
place.
There are several things that I find help me to get into a meditative state
"at will". One is to have a few "key phrases" like "go deep inside" on hand
that I have heard while I was in trance -- like I have told myself or a
hypnotist has told me that whenever I hear the words "go deep inside", I can
return to that deep trance state at will. This doesn't mean that cueing up
my brain with those words will make me go zombie in the car, but it does mean
that I can skip past all the phases of "going in" and just be there.
Well, recently, like for the last 3 or 4 months, or maybe since the Bomb
Saddam chant was taken up, I have been totally distracted in my psi
activities. I am not saying that I can't do readings or pick up on things,
it is just that things have changed. And now, within a week of the election,
and around the time of the earthquake, things have changed again... It is
very apparent to me that something is up when things like conversation take
the turn of having heard the person's thoughts before they say them out loud
and projecting my thoughts to others before I say them. This happened today
at lunch.
However, I am writing because through all the variations over the last 35
OMG! or so years, I can still go into a meditative state with the simplest
tools -- the smell of peppermint oil, the caress of a kitten's coat, the
sound of my favorite meditative tapes... things that have consistently calmed
me over the years have come to mean meditation to my inner self.
Interesting that it should be that way.
Do the rest of you use "cues" -- I've heard staring at the wall... I have
used candles... what is the deciding factor for the ability to "go into" a
trance or meditative and receptive state?
Rain, dripping Fall, gooey mud, sticky leaves, slippery steps,
Ah, the joys of living in the woods,

May we all have light sufficient for our path, and may some light the path
for others.
