Hi you guys,
Joe just got back from Japan, so is really swamped, and may not get
to look at the Q's for a bit. Also, there were 10 pages of them
(!). I told him he could answer what he wanted if it was too much. I
also told him, as I know he gets tons of PEM from around the world,
that he could add in any Q&A he's done that he thinks would be
apropo. So what I sent him may not resemble what it ends up being, we
will see. I want it to be a pleasant surprise for everyone.
Concerning the questions, as this is the first time we've done this I
thought I'd give you my feedback. First, really great stuff! -
thanks. Second, there were a number of Q's that overlapped, or were
covered as an 'inherent part of' a slightly different question, that
I sort of merged together (I wrote a Q&A series using the Q's as
compiled by me, but most things are reworded in some fashion). Some
Q's I split up as they were more than one; many I left in the 1
paragraph with 5 interrelated questions form many came to me in. Some
I rephrased to make more about RV and less about political issues in
the field. Some I enlarged upon to cover a somewhat broader view than
the question itself did, as I thought it would be more useful as
viewer information to have context.
I broke up the questions -- as there were so many -- into a number
of "sections". Each of these sections is one page of questions,
except the 'personal' section which was nearly 2. There is also an
addition of some Q&A we had personally - or well, let's say very
excerpted and somewhat diplomacized portions of emails from the last
couple months - that related to topics that were on RV Oasis so he
said if I wanted I could append that to the interview in case any
list members were interested. Here are the sections the interview
was sent in:
Some Basic Questions
On Your Writing and Current Book THE STARGATE CHRONICLES
On Psi, Time, and Spiritual or Metaphysical Theories
On Developing Psi Ability
Other Aspects of RV
Other Really Cool Stuff [note: LDs, OBEs, Hypnosis, et al)
On Your Predictions and book THE ULTIMATE TIME MACHINE
On RV in the Public/Media
On RV as a Profession
Personal Questions
(PJ's recent Q&A excerpts w/Joe, appended)
It's possible we might get to the next Q collection prior to getting
the interview back from Joe, as it is so long, and is coming right at
the point where he's in the midst of a chaos schedule, as his new
book is finally coming out in 10-14 days.
I have three others lined up so far -- haven't asked anybody else
yet. I don't want to give away identities but I'll let you guys tell
me which 'general' description you'd prefer next --
1. A researcher who was involved in the early work (some might say
the founding of modern RV) way-back-when, prior to stargate
2. A researcher who was a primary scientist in stargate
3. A researcher who was in stargate, but whose primary work has been
in monitoring and analysis, as opposed to viewing or main management
We'll have others in the future but those are the ones I've lined up
this far, and I'm not telling who! -- don't guess on the list. If
you guys have opinions, let me know. We could begin another series
rather than waiting to begin it until we got Joe's back, if you
wish. Doesn't matter to me.
Sorry I have been SO out of the loop, but I see everybody ELSE has
been too! The few msgs coming through haven't been list material so
it's been pretty silent. I'm working on a project that I have been
trying to get going for six long years, utter frustration and nothing
happening all this time... then recently I made a decision and a
change and suddenly everything is literally falling together in my
lap for it, it's amazing. So I have been dedicating my time, other
than my primary job, to focusing on proposals and such for that.
Best regards,
PJ

I vote for the dialogue that you have already had with Joe, that has
been edited, and that you were planning to append to the interview,
to be divulged early! Hehehe.
Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought him back...

Moderator's note: OK. But I have to get his approval on seeing it - he approved
in principle but has to ok the copy I sent him. He is working on this stuff btw
and has gotten through a portion of it. A lot of these questions are pretty
tough - require thought and explanation, or there's multiple questions in 'one'.
I'll ask him to skim the appended Q&A and lemme know and I'll post that early to
the list. Maybe I can get him to do that today (7sep02). -- PJ
